Tried to get into another restaurant, no luck. My sons suggested Daily Planet. It is a good go to restaurant. When you walk in, there is a first come, first serve bar on the right, with a bar food menu. ON the left is a full serve dining room with a different seating area. WE chose the bar scene, it was fun. I had the Ahi Tuna tatare with a spicy aoli on top. It was quite tasty and unique. One of my sons had the local poutine dish , also very good.

Butch & Babe's

We visited Butch and Babe's for the first time, on a whim as we were driving past. It looked fun and low-key. We took the bunch of people sitting at the outside tables as a good sign. The place has an unpretentious menu with twists on traditional American things like hot dogs and Mac and cheese. We enjoyed the two hot dogs and fries combo for $13.00 and the cheddar bacon ranch dip with homemade chips. There were plenty of good sounding dishes on the menu and prices seemed pretty reasonable. Butch and Babe's is not cheap eats, but is not too expensive. We thought the place had a clean, modern atmosphere and the service was quite good too. I think I'll be going back there and I recommend Butch and Babe's to anyone looking for a good meal.
