I have used this restaurant several times during my stays in Sri LankaUnfortunately since the terrorist attacks at Easter 2019 like many restaurant and hotels Tuskerâs has suffered a down turn. On my visit there were only 3 tables occupied including mine. Diners outnumbered by staffHowever, standards have been maintained and my Seer fish was as good as everI would have no hesitation in returning again

We picked this restaurant on tripadvisor reviews but had quite a time working out what sort of food this place might serve. With a French name, Swiss owners, English and German menu we were very unsure of what ti expect.I ordered the chicken and egg soup - turned out to be Chinese chicken soup - delicious. Another of our group had the fried rice - excellent, another the mixed grill - huge plate of food with gravy and mashed potato on the side, also very good. The last person ordered the spaghetti with vegetables - that dish was probably the least appealing as there was enough spaghetti for 4 people and few vegetables.The place was empty when we arrived but gradually filled up over time. Service was typical Sri Lankan slow pace, but friendly and the meals a very pleasant surprise. If you are looking for something non Sri Lankan then this could be a good alternative.

Rather intriguing modern bijou hotel tucked away in back blocks of Negombo (close to international airport). Four villas only. Attentive service. Tuk tuks available for local transport and could arrange taxis for trips further afield.Thanks for reviewing your meal and for letting people know about Waterland. I've visited this place several times, but my most recent one was today was such a letdown. Food was mediocre, drinks had too little alcohol in them and the staff was distant and not friendly enough. The place looks unclean and untidy. Apparently, the management has been changed and it seems like it's affected. They didn't have beef even though this is the high season. When we informed the staff that we are not happy with everything they tried to give excuses without even listening.

The restaurant is in a fairly remote location situated along a quiet road off the main Negombo - Chilaw Highway (just north of Kochchikade)Nearby is the large Dolphin Beach Resort/Hotel. Most of the patrons of the restaurant seemed to be guests from Dolphin Beach who had escaped from the delights of all inclusive dinner buffet to experience some local cuisineThe menu is very limited and certain dishes can only be provided if ordered in advance\everything we had was excellent - rice with spicy chicken and nuts and fresh cooked vegetablesStaff were friendly - waiting time was short - overall a reasonable price

After having our (excellent!) breakfast here (we were staying at Sea Port hotel and Cilantro makes the included breakfast), we wanted to have dinner at this place well. The food we ordered was very tasty and well prepared. The staff was super friendly and professional. The price might be a bit higher here than at some other places, but it's worth it. The only thing they could improve, are the vegetarian options (though meat and fish dishes can be altered). The options they did have were good, but there was not a lot to choose from. hi Laura,than you very much and hope that you will have nice tour in Nepal.i will definitely speak to chef regarding the vegetarian dishes anyhow we are planning to start the new menu from 01st of October.thank again for suggestions and good comments.

Tastees is one of my Favorite restaurants in Negambo. I have visited this restaurant three times. Food was amazing. Prices are reasonable. Perfect location with outdoor seating and the beach view. Staff is very friendly. Great variety in the menu and the cocktails were delicious.Thank you so much noowaj for such a sweet recommendation. As regular customers say, Tastees is the favorite restaurant in their entire lives. Lots of people love to watch beautiful sunset at the evening and have some beer with couple of friends.Good place to make new friends and Thanks for mentioning about our friendly staff.We would love to see you soon again!

We found this place on TA and thought we checked this place out we took the Uber from our hotel it costed around 130 rupees about 50p. Visited here on Saturday night restaurant it self located just opposite the Jetwing Sea Hotel so you wouldnât have any trouble finding it. Small restaurant which I found it got Texas Cow boy themed mixed into it. if you not there by 8/9pm you might have to wait for a table or crash into someone elseâs table. Great atmosphere Dj was playing good music old / new, small dance floor there as well if you like bit of swing around. We had nice strong cocktails and few good cold beers, service is great, friendly staff ! Food is okay nothing special we did had some issues with one of our dishes we ordered steak mash potatoes and garlic bread but instead we had beef curry served with fries no garlic bread to be seen ,but the other dishes was fine by the time we received our food restaurant it self was packed, people were waiting out side for tables so went along and had the food we given, it was nice just not what we ordered. Itâs an indoor restaurant but they do allow to smoke indoors so if you are non smoker keep that in mind before you visit. Would visit again !

do not, whatever you do, have the taster menu.7000rs (plus 25% tax and service charge), for food you cannot see, and there is barely enough on each course to taste.we found it to be very pretentious, black crockery, black lampshades with VERY low light levels.if the first bite of food is with your eyes, well, in this place you miss that bite!what we could see of it was a lot of style over substance.each course was eatable, and they did cater for me especially in that i cannot eat cheese, so altered a couple of dishes.none of the dishes would tempt me to go back and try a full version of them though, which , for a taster menu, would seem to be the point.the most ridiculous was that one meal, a tea infused chicken stock had, according to the menu, a cheese kebab.this turned out to be three very small cubes of cheese on a cocktail stick, on the side of the dish.service was patchy, different cutlery was brought out for each different course, well, for most of them, one course arrived without any cutlery at all, and we had to ask for it after delivery.aonther set was laid out differently for me than for my wife, on mine the fish knife was on the outside, on hers it was on the inside.service from the right was also sporadic at best.i am pretty sure that the food looked amazing, but in all honesty it was too dark to tell properly, the waiter even had to bring a torch to show us the menu, and other guests were using their mobile phones to illuminate their menus.Dear Guest,Thank you for sharing your experience with us.We are sorry to read that you were faced with such incidents during your dining experience with us which we assure you that we will be looking into very seriously.Black Coral has always stood out in its category as a unique dining experience which is famous for its low-light ambient lighting while dining. However on this occasion your PERSONAL 1 star review is totally unfair and NOT justified when you did NOT even stay to check out OUR delicious food and beverages â instead in your own words promptly declined the seating area and WALKED OUT !!During monsoon season in October/ November we open 4 different outlets inside Lords Complex (subject to weather) on Friday, Saturday and Sunday only from 5pm to 11pm due to very low tourist arrivals in Sri Lanka at this time of year and especially after the Easter attacks.
