The restaurant fully justifies its name (clandestino - hidden). Although it is located on the right bank of the river, somewhere in half a macadam road from the bridge on Bojana towards the mouth. The impression is that owners do not care much about findi
Hidden away down a (VERY) narrow dirt road is the Studio 54 of Montenegro called Clandestino! Zarko (one of the owners) has created a unique combination of great food, exceptional LIVE music (on ANY night of the week) and a vibe that rivals any nightclub in Europe. It's two levels of rickity (in a cool way) wood decks with a large bar and even good table service despite the crowds. Food and bev are top notch and reasonable from the giant burgers to the endless pitchers of Rakia (which maybe should not be endless LOL)..this is a can't miss experience. The place is packed every night (but not "offensively" so but the people are SO cool you won't mind. Dance, drink and party the night away and if you don't think it's an amazing place there's something wrong with YOU!
Large restaurant and supermarket standing on its own on the highway between Bar and Shkoder.
Quite large, with a supermarket attached, and standing on its own in the middle of the countryside about halfway between Bar (Montenegro) and Shkoder (Albania). Extremely good value, and quick self service. We had a beer, 2 large salads and a kadefi, all for E6.30. Nothing worth seeing in the vicinity, but the best place to eat if you are travelling between Bar and Shkoder. Ample free parking.
We stumbled on this restaurant as we drove the long way around to Ulcinj (ie the road that borders Lake Skala). This restaurant appeared out of nowhere, with a terrace sitting high atop a hill, looking across the valley into Albania. Needless to say, the view was breathtaking and the dishes we received (1x lamb, 1x Chevap) were of a high standard, serving local food, along with beer and wine. It's a great place to stop along the route, or even as a destination from Ulcinj, as it's only a 20 minute drive out of town
