I loved this place no English spoken so got to use my very limited Spanish but these are the places I seek out when on holiday why do we English speakers expect everyone to understand us when we do not make an effort to use their language. On this holiday to Lanzarote we went to the most local places yet and that is by choice the locals know where serves the best food and usually the cheapest.

Vegetarian & plant-based kitchen - special beers - fine wines - great music! Gluten-free options. We like to think before we act. We buy as much local products as possible but we never loose sight of whatâs equally important: tasty food and drinks with go
First ever trip advisor review but felt we must write this. We visited Bistro Arbol this evening : myself, husband and two daughters age 8 and 10. What a great experience! We are not vegetarian/vegan but would eat a veggie heavy diet and were craving some quality veggie dishes on our second week of hols. This place did not disappoint! Service was impeccable, Miet did a great job of explaining all of the beer offerings to us (of which we sampled a few). We had a delicious bottle of wine from a local bodegas, in fact all produce seemed very local. As a family of four we shared the hummus platter, falafel platter and bean burgers. We also had the special of the day (tabbouleh served with roasted beetroot, cauliflower in lettuce wraps - reminiscent of yuk sung or larb gai but far fresher flavours). My 8 year old loved the beetroot hummus and 10 year old loved the tabbouleh wraps. In short, we loved everything that Davy produced in the kitchen! Desserts were chocolate mousse, chocolate (sweet potato) cake and a beautiful apple and cinnamon cake. All delicious :-) would highly recommend a visit to Bistro Arbol - you will not be disappointed!

My first holiday abroad with my uncles and we ate here twice during our 2 week holiday. Both times the food was absolutely amazing, could not fault it. The chicken croquettes are delectable and very Moreish, Steaks were cooked to perfection, the lamb is soft and tender and the brownie is delicious. Gian(I hope I spelt that correctly) is an amazing host, so friendly and greets everyone as old friends. I cannot wait to go here again in the future. You will need to book in advance, as the restaurant is quite small and gets very busy- with good reason. Try it, you wonât regret it!!

Where to eat European food in Tinajo: The Best Restaurants and Bars
Horray that this restaurant now shows up on Trip Advisor. It joins the top three in La Santa village - Amendoa, Alma and now Salmarina. Fabolous location right next to the harbour, perfect for late pm sunshine and evening sunsets. Exceptional food - the fillet steak I had was possibly the best ever, and my wife had lovely hake. Very good, and very friendly service, and we were delighted to meet the chef. We will be back many times, especially as it is only a 10-15 minute walk from Club La Santa, or a couple of minutes by car or taxi.

Inexpensive pizza restaurant a little off the beaten track. The Mexicana pizza was delicious and the prawns cooked to perfection.

Grillen is a new concept for the northwest villages of Lanzarote, including Tinajo, La Santa, Famara, La Vegueta, El Cuchillo, Munique, Tiagua, Soo, Mancha Blancha & Tinguaton. With live music 3 nights per week, Grillen is a place to meet, relax, unwind a
It might be a way out of PDC but it is worth every single minute of the 30 min drive. The view is stunning, the restaurant is beautifully decorated, the staff very welcoming and friendly and the food to die for. Our large group ordered a selection of different meals including tapas. All came out at the same time and looked amazing. The presentation cannot be faulted. Those who chose tapas loved it and as for me I chose the pulled pork burger. A massive burger topped with pulled pork in homemade bbq sauce and topped with kimchee. A delightful combination I would never had put together but boy did it work. Even the chicken burger was a massive chicken breast cooked to perfection and smothered in home made aioli. The added bonus of fried potato skin crisps and olives on the table as a prelude to the delicious mains started our lunch off on the right foot. Even though we were stuffed we had to try the home made desserts. 3 of us chose the mixed trio just because we couldn't decide what to have so why not have 3?!. We were even given a little taste of the home made fruit liquors. I have to say it was well worth the visit for a great meal but it wasnt just great it was amazing. The best burger in the world!!!Kylie, Thank you so so much for taking the time out of your holiday to write such lovely words. I truly thank you for this. I am so so pleased that you all came up to Grillen yesterday and more so that your visit was a 'great' one. It was a pleasure to meet you all and I certainly do look forward to meeting you again on your next visit - maybe a different burger that time? Have a wonderful rest of your holiday and a safe journey home. Kindest regards.

Six of us visited Mama Africa on the last night of our holiday after a trip advisor recommendation. We were not disappointed!A small town restaurant with big city quality service and food. We all had three courses and all of them were delicious. The staff were very efficient while still being fun and friendly. It was great to meet Monica the Chef/Owner who came out to greet us after our meal.Highly recommend a visit if you are in Lanzarote. Worth travelling for.

Having had at least 3/4 of our meals at the pool bar at Club La Santa it was a refreshing change to visit Alma with its very modern interior and menu. Had warm seafood ceviche to start which was great, then followed up by Uruguayan steak which was okay (wasn't expecting much given it was only about 16 euros) and then a very nice chocolate orange lava cake to finish which wasn't on the menu. Great service, will be back next year
