The Award Winning "El Patio" restaurant is located facing Avenida Central, San Jose's most visited pedestrian boulevard. Here you can enjoy a wide variety of international and typical Costa Rican dishes and drinks in a pleasant and relaxing setting. In ou
My husband and I stumbled on this restaurant while walking and thought what the heck. It was delicious. My Spanish is horrible but they speak English here, a little broken, but still good enough for me. I would absolutely recommend this place to eat. The service was a little slow but I think it has more to do with the fact that we are in Central America and it's a slower pace here anyway(If you are in a hurry not the place to eat). The price is a little higher, but still much less than in the US for similar food. If you happen to be in the area go and sample the delicious food, you won't be disappointed. My husband thought the food was delicious and he's a very tough person to please.Thank you for your kind review. We are delighted to learn that you both were very pleased with your experience with us. We look forward to hosting you soon again.Best regards,Alessandra

This restaurant is not large but the food is so good. I started with a Yucca Ceviche, which was delicious. I was with a large group and I believe we tried every starter. No one was disappointed. The avocado toast was VERY popular. The entrees were all delicious and even though there were 16 of us, we were relatively quickly served. The kitchen is small but mighty! The desserts were delicious. I was very impressed with this restaurant. I know I would not have found it without our guide but am very happy we did!

A wonderful setting with very attentive service. The house wine, a Merlot, was very good. The food while good was slightly disappointing. The portions were generous to a fault.I’d recommend it but with a slight reservation. I would return for the ambience and perhaps choose my dishes more carefully.

New concept . Real Food around the bar. Especialization in Sausage'S Sandwichs. European elaboration with flavours to travel around the world. Also, Spanish style omelets, salads and restaurant desserts. All home-made, only with natural ingredients. Lettu
We were treated to an incredible, one-of-a-kind dinner by the owner of the place! He explained the mode of preparation for the sausages that are the focus of this fancy fast food joint -- very simple, hand- and home-made -- and suggested specific wine pairings for each one. I usually don't eat processed meat, but broke my rule here and ate two: the chef's selection, and a second spicy offering. The chef's selection came with a medium-bodied Chilean Malbec and the spicy with Pinotage, and both pairings were perfect. As we ate, we took in the decor, crafted by an award-winning architectural team. I have definitely never had such an incredible combination of food, ambience, and service. 6/5.WOW! Thanks for your comments... but the most, for enjoing the Bò_Xperience! Cheers!

Superb quality and service. We had lunch and everything single item was fresh and obviously prepared from scratch. The menue offers a great international selection of salads, soups, sandwiches and main courses from different countries. Under no circumstances omit the dessert because they are fabulous. It is one of my favorite places in Costa Rica.

We are a pub with craft beers and imported, we have artisan pizza with thin pasta and international dishes, in a family atmosphere.
It is hard to believe that this kind of average looking restaurant in a big shopping mall next to a Chilis is the top rated restaurant in Heridia. The food is OK, service is OK, the beer selection is good and the parking options are excellent. Still I was disappointed after walking across town based on reviews to find something that would fit right into a suburban strip mall in middle america

I ordered the tamarind chicken and it was quite dry and needed a bit more salt in order to balance out the sweetness of the tamarind sauce. The service was outstanding. They really work hard in small details to make you feel well taken care of, and I loved that! All in all it was a very good experience.

Restaurant Grano de Oro merges Costa Rican tropical with European cuisine under the expertise of our French chef Francis Canal. Once a simple cafe, this restaurant has evolved into one of San Jose’s finest dining establishments, frequented by locals and t
I visited the restaurant with mum and some dear friends. The restaurant is located inside Grano de Oro's Hotel. The atmosphere of this place is exquisite and absolutely unique in San Jose because the architecture of this hotel, despite is a recent work (modern) evokes the beautiful charm of Victorian architecture. There's a refined work of interior architecture and details which well worth a visit and which will make you feel you into another era.But not just the atmosphere counts, food is wonderful, tasty, refined and prepared with love and care.In the menu you can choose a wide variety of delicious dishes made with local ingredients and french cooking techniques, as well.I strongly encourage people to visit the place. It worth it!Luis Manuel Espinoza R.

Everything about this restaurant was superb: the ambience, the waitstaff and service and especially the amazing food prepared by chef (and co-owner) Richard Neat. And we never anticipated finding one of the best restaurants we ever ate at in Costa Rica! We started our evening with two of their creative cocktails which included a Passion Fruit Martini. For our main dining we chose the Degustation Menu...an experience not to be missed. Five courses— each with two different tapas which were so artfully constructed and presented, I hesitated to try the food before I could first take a photo! It was that unique and creative! And delicious. Each course was accompanied by a small glass of wine which was perfectly paired with the food. Our whole dining experience lasted two hours. It was like being a part of an “Epicurican Theatre”, The intimate restaurant is set within an indoor/outdoor antiques shop displaying a beautiful collection of pieces from mainly Indonesia. It was karma sitting amongst many Buddha’s, wood and stone art, as well as water features and gently swaying paper lanterns. Hats off to international chef, Richard Neat! He and his staff made our anniversary an event to remember.Dear Mimi and Michael. Thank you so much for your company and review, we're so happy that you enjoyed yourselves. Have a great continuation of your trip in CR and congrats on that project. Best wishes, Richard

I took a group of 10 here on our last night in Costa Rica. My wife and I had dined here on a previous vacation and loved it. We all ordeered the regional tasting menu with wine. Everyone agreed that it was a wonderful meal and that the atmoshpere and service were exceptional.
