Lunch menu is small but always interesting; the sandwiches are amazing and nothing like our average expectations of a sandwich. "Proper Lunch" dishes are exciting and imaginative..... I love the belly pork and the rare skirt steak. Very decent pint of Hobson's.

Quality, freshly prepared vegetarian and vegan food in relaxed surroundings. Wine supplied by Tanners Wines. Families welcome.
We loved to eat at the Good Life when shopping in Shrewsbury. We really appreciate the healthy, hearty food. You can see the food being freshly prepared. It's not a big place but the range of food, the reasonable prices and the friendliness of the staff more than makes up for this. As an historian, I the love the old tudor building, heaps of character.

This is my second visit to this restaurant. If you have never been, it is at Shrewsbury College of Arts & Technology, it is where students train on the job in the catering trade. At lunchtime it is excellent value at £10 for 3 courses. The food and service was excellent again. I would have given it 5 out of 5, but on the day we visited they had less staff, as a number of students were taking exams. Because of this the menu was smaller and I struggled with my choices. The food I had was nice, but I am sure I would have chosen differently, if there was the usual amount of choice.
