This is a large café as opposed to to a restaurant. Food choice is OK. Just to grab something for lunch but not for a dining experience. The terrace overlooks other roofs, nothing especially interesting. Good for a quick cup of coffee and a cake.

Ich komme aus Schaffhausen und gehe regelmässig hier essen! Es gibt super leckere Burger, Wraps sowie auch Enchiladas.Es ist auch der perfekte Ort für Drinks am Abend mit Freunden und der Chef sowie das Personal sind meega freundlich.Es ist wirklich einen Besuch wert!

Hat dieses holzgetäferte Lokal Charme? Ja hat es. Sie erreichen es über eine steile Treppe im 1. OG.Die Kerze (âCherzeâ) ist schon seit über 20 Jahren unter den Händen des Berner Pächters Rolf Könitzer. Die Getränkeauswahl lässt keine Wünsche offen und das Personal ist um- und nachsichtig und stets bemüht. Auch auf kulinarische Wünsche des Gastes wird hier prompt und pragmatisch reagiert. Als Dress Code empfiehlt sich casual. Smart ist nicht verlangt. Insbesondere nicht im Barbereich. Das Publikum ist in jeder Beziehung bunt durchmischt. Eine Gesellschaft der Gesellschaften. Ãbrigens: Der Berner Pächter, welcher 1972 die erste Mundart-LP «En Ankeschnitte usem Läbe» veröffentlichte, organisiert regelmässig Konzertaktivitäten in der Cherze.

Very nice place where you can relax eat and drink after visiting the town of Schaffhausen. Even when the place was really packed with people the staff was well organized and very friendly. They were very attentive. the terrace was very busy even by a colder Saturday. The Non smoking lounge was upstairs which wasn't bad at all because so you have a nice view over the main street, unluckily the furniture wasn't in the best condition. As we eyed around we got the impression that the meals served around us looked very good and specially the burgers seems to be a bestseller. Unluckily we didn't have enough time to try it out.

Very nice location in Schaffhausen, next to the river. Itâs possible to eat outside or inside - we preferred to enjoy the sunshine. Quality of the food was very high: we chose a veal steak with tagliatelle in a mushroom sauce and a beef tartare. Also service was timely and professional.After lunch we could enjoy a wonderful walk (approx. 4km far from this restaurant) to the waterfalls. Incredible food, wine, atmosphere and service at this little cozzy restaurant in the center of Neuhausen, just getting inside with the warm welcoming of owners Evelyne and Stefan you know you are in the right place to taste a great dinner pair with a great local wine, I always asked Evelyne for advise on what to eat that night and she always get it right, her husband Stefan is a great chef, use local ingredients and always put his personal touch in his creations, you will love it, guarantee, alls the reviews I have read about it including this one are just short of the experience, SUPERB!!!

I was there with a friend from Colombia and had 'Forelle' and 'Luma Pork'. The atmosphere was fine, but what irritated us from the very beginning until the end of the supper was the sickening smell of the table napkins due to ordinary laundry detergent or fabric softener which strongly interfered with the process of wine tasting. The cook's skills need to be improved, e.g: The 'Luma Pork' was a 'loveless mixture' of all ingredients served as a pellmell.The wine was good. The hostess loudly and endlessly chattered with guests at the next table.I hope that the young crew will enhance the skills in kitchen and reflect on its interactions with laundry and guests.I rate here not with 'poor' but with ''average' because I trust in the compliance of young entrepreneurs.Thanks for you Feedback.
