Reviews on International food in Road Town, Tortola, Caribbean. The former haunt of pirates, the Dutch and the English and Tortola's main town, Road Town is within reach of secluded beaches and hidden coves. The island displays the same leisurely pace as other British Virgin Islands, with festivals and regattas across the calendar. Helicopter and sea charters and diving are popular activities. On land, the ruins of Fort Burt and the still functioning Callwood Rum Distillery provide fun daytrips. Catch a cab between sights or rent a car to get out of town.

Nice chilled atmosphere at this local deli bar/cafe. Good choice of light bites: the Mediterranean wrap is good and cleansing smoothie. Good open area for the kids to run around. Different to anything else in Road Town and worth checking out if in the Pier Park.
The Captain's Kitchen is hidden away on the first floor of the Hotel Castle Maria. The owner is very passionate about her cooking. While the menu was small, the food is delicious. We had the grilled shrimp salad. All of the ingredients were very fresh and very nicely prepared. The homemade cilantro dressing was great. To top off the meal, we had the chocolate mousse which was decadently delicious. The owner has a very engaging personality and also does catering and boat provisioning.

Fine dining but on real food with substantial portions. Cocktail bar and Pavillions lounge area overlooking the sea. 400 year old stone built dining room formerly the Rum house of the plantation. Terace section overlooking the sea.
My husband and I stayed at the Sugar Mill just after Easter and ate two nights at the restaurant. The scallops with mushroom risotto was recommended and it was delicious! We had a lovely dinner with top notch, friendly service. This is why we went back again, even though the prices are a bit steep.

Chef Roxanne knows how to make an amazing lobster! Kevin was an excellent waiter/bartender and hats off to the owner Greg who took ownership before Irma and has created an amazing atmosphere and dinning experience. We had 8 people and were well taken care of. The sun set one one side of the restaurant while the moon rose on the other, unbelievable views. They also did an amazing bar trick while we were there, will forever remember! You have to stop by if you are in Tortola!

A little out of the way, this place is well worth it. Very chill evening vibe and great entertainment. The owners are real supporters of all the rebuilding work for those in need on the island. Love to support places that support others!

We visited the Red Rock restaurant twice last week for dinner. They offer a complementary taxi service from the Beef Island ferry for Marriott Scrub Island guests. We had pizza and the yuca gnocchi which were both delicious. They also have a good selection of wines and cocktails. The service was very good and the restaurant has a nice view of the marina. The chef stopped by to greet all the customers during our second visit.

A fantastic dinner of high quality food....an Italian cheese board to start with followed by a tasty risotto and a succulent beef tenderloin accompanied with a bottle of Camigliano Gualto Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2011 from Montalcino, Tuscany, Italy. In addition, the service, the staff and the experience were all first class and the meal is by far the best in Tortola, BVI!

The Cabernet Bar and Grill, previously know as The Grand Cafe and La Cabanon now under new ownership since Jan 2014. Great food prepared nightly on our outside Grill. Fresh Fish, Butchers Cut meats, Daily Specials. The best service Island wide, superb atm
Very popular with the ex-pat community as well as tourists. Had lunch, dinner and drinks here on different occasions. Casual, spit & sawdust type place, but relaxed and friendly. Close to the ferry terminal, on the opposite side of the road. Good service. Quiche and croque monsieur at lunchtime were both, large tasty portions. Shepherd's pie at dinner was ditto.
