Find out what International restaurants to try in Punta de Mita. Yearning for the laidback feel of a rural fishing village with white sand beaches, combined with the luxuries and mild year-round weather of the Mexican Riviera? Punta Mita has all this plus championship golf, diving, sport fishing, surfing, sailing, sea kayaking, whale watching, mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding, Jeep tours, and rainforest excursions. Walk into town for beachfront restaurant dining and Pacific Ocean sunsets. Kids can safely swim at Playa El Anclote, where the rock jetties calm the shallow waters near restaurant row. Surf El Anclote’s long slow waves. Or seek out those special surfing spots along the coast, like near Punta Sayulita. Enjoy kayaking. Take the family sailing. Tee off overlooking the breezy blue waters of the Pacific Ocean at the Jack Nicklaus-designed Pacifico Course, rated among the best in Latin America. Pacifico is renowned for its optional 19th hole, the “Tail of the Whale,” a 199-yard par-three where you tee off over the Pacific Ocean onto a large island green. The Bahia, another Nicklaus-designed championship course, has six ocean holes, and is lined by beach sands and gated resort properties controlling course access. The Bahia Banderas (Bay of Banderas) and north towards Sayulita is great for fishing and diving volcanic tunnels, or just watching whales, dolphins, turtles, and ocean birds. Snorkel color-splashed shallow reefs. Spend a day on a ponga, a motorized open-bow fishing boat in search of mahi-mahi (dorado), pugnacious pargo (big cubera snapper), Pacific sailfish, fighting roosterfish, yellowfin tuna, and bonita. From Islas Marietas and El Morro to La Corbetena and El Banco, the diving opportunities are numerous.

Nayarit, Mexico Food Guide: 4 Fusion food Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Punta de Mita
This gets lost by Trip Advisors reviewers because it kind of gets lost in Four Seasons or Golf. But this restaurant in Punta Mita services the golf courses of Bahia and Pacifica. The food is excellent and probably the best chicken fajita I've had. Great tortilla shells, fresh and thin. Be careful they add cheese to them you might not like that, but accommodate to leaving it out. Breakfast is quiet and overlooking the course in a covered patio. Servers are friendly and understand the golf community for speed if you need it. I loved it here, must have ate here 4 times. You have to access Punta Mita at the golf course . It's not in Punta de Mita.

Sitting at a table overlooking a quiet area of Banderas Bay, from which you will see the beautiful Rancho Banderas beach and you might see frolicking humpback whales and dolphins and from December through May will be almost guaranteed a breathtaking sunset, the food almost doesn't matter... but in fact, the food (Mexican and other choices) generally does the setting justice. We went on Sunday decided to try this new restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. The food was good and the atmosphere with good service made it worthwhile. The owner spoke excellent English and had good suggestions for dinner. The fish special was yummy. Prices were very reasonable.

We have been here before and liked it, but today was horrible. I am giving it 3 stars based on previous good experiencesWe arrived and the waitress quickly brought us menus. I asked âtodo está disponible?â and she assured me everything was available all day. My husband ordered breakfast and I ordered a salad. She brought us both juice (very good) and shortly after she brought my husbandâs breakfast.I got my salad some 25 minutes later with no explanation or attention whatsoever during the time I was waiting. Just a kind of sheepish âsorryâ when she brought the food. To make matters worse, the pesto salad was tough, as though someone had cooked the vegetables wrongly. As to be expected, my husbandâs otherwise tasty breakfast (called Jimmyâs) was somewhat spoiled watching his forlorn and hungry wife across the table for all that time.

Another 5-star dinner at Kali. We had the 7-course chef's tasting menu. As always, the dishes were creatively prepared and beautifully presented. We visit this restaurant every year during our stay in Punta Mita. It's our favorite by far! Our favorite dish this year: red snapper in a huitlacoche ("Mexican truffle") sauce.
