We loved the owner, the fuss made of us and crazy, haphazard arty decor of this unusual and wonderful place. The food was extremely tasty and I would recommend it. BUT be totally aware that you will pay more here than at an expensive hotel. A cocktail, bottle of wine (by the glass wasnât an option) and 3 course meal (no tea or coffee) cost around £300!This included complimentary hors dervs and palette cleansers between courses. Itâs a treat to eat here, Iâve marked it 4/5 due to the eye watering bill. There are less âposhâ but equally wonderful tasty restaurants - highly recommended in the area including Chez Tino and Green IslandDear Guest, sorry for late answer, I got problem connexion with Trip Advisor. The weakest of the three restaurants at Ambre Resort, but it is in some very strong competition with La Plage and Dolce Vita. Fairly run of the mill good quality buffet, if you watch for the new dishes coming out, these will be piping hot. The fresh Indian breads are very good as are the Mauritian curries and freshly cooked fish.We tended to just have breakfast here and probably only had two or three dinners and one lunch during a two week stay.Negatives are the lack of a salad bar, there were some bowls of leaves, but that was about the sum of it. Additionally, the drinks service could be VERY slow at times.The outdoor seating is very pleasant and less of a canteen atmosphere

It doesn't look much from the outside but it is in a lovely spot in the trees on the public beach at Belle Mare. Don't be put off - the food is excellent with very friendly service and just a great place to have lunch in a lovely relaxed setting. Just a short walk along the beach from the Residence Hotel, only open in the evenings at weekends and closed Mondays.

Beautiful location, superb service. We had the most amazing meal celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and were spoilt rotten with a special menu from the chef. Outstanding .. the lemongrass sorbet encased in an ice dome was incredible. If you canât do dinner then try the lunch with stunning views . Itâs beautiful

On the two occasions we visited this tiny restaurant (attached to a B&B establishment) we were the only customers, but it didn't matter. The staff were so welcoming and helpful it was like having dinner at a friends house.The food was excellent and took a reassuringly long time to produce, showing that everything is freshly cooked on the premises.As I said, the service was exemplary. although they did run out of white wine on our second visit!Reasonably priced and fairly near to our accommodation at the Maison d'Ete (separate review) definately not to be missed if you are in the area.

As a resident of the Azuri complex, have been to this restaurant for lunch at least 4 times.Vegetarian options? Vegan options? Are you kidding...asides penne pasta with tomato sauce and one vegetarian pizza there is nothing else available.Service is very slow, food is badly presented, tasteless and made with cheap ingredients.Donât waste your time or money.What a shame :(

This Restaraunt has fantastic outdoor ambience, and great fine dining experience at the north coast of mauritius. The service is friendly and ideal for a quiet dinner with friends. The menu has good variety of selection from starters, main course and desert. Highly recommended.
