Susan and I visited this lovely restaurant called Headlines very near to Queens Hotel where we were staying. The restaurant provides a platform for musicians to play live and they had just had a grand musical event on Saturday. The restaurant is run by 2 sisters Marlene and Zelda.Marlene spent time talking to us about the various foods in the region and shared some advice on the foods to try out at Knysna where we were visiting next.I had a T Bone steak and Susan had pork chops both of which were excellent. We had a glass of red wine each which was lovely.I had a fruit salad dessert of fresh fruit salad( strawberry, blueberry and orange) which was nice. All in all a nice dinner and a nice time spent with Marlene.Wishing the restaurant continued success in the future.Mathew EipeMathew thank you so much for taking the time to right this beautiful review. I wish you and Susan many, many more years of traveling. You absolutely made my year with this review, thanx from the bottom of my heart. Marlene

Restaurant was recommended to us (we were only spending 1 night in Oudtshoorn), but ended up pretty disappointed:- Hard to find if you use google maps (restaurant is shown in the wrong location). Managers aware of this, but hasnât been corrected- After studying the menu carefully and deciding on our main courses my wifeâs choice was not available and the server didnât tell us this when she gave us the menus- We both ended up having mussels; my wifeâs stomach wasnât good afterwards, and they definitely didnât agree with mine! All in all probably the worst restaurant experience during our almost 3 week trip in SA.

Unfortunately it was rather cold so we decided to sit inside but the outer courtyard seems to be the place to be. The food was okay, decent, but not very special. Yet prices were very reasonable, so no complaints. We had a nice 2013 Garden Route Shiraz, which we considered the highlight of this evening.

Wanting a Chinese meal we spotted the sign on the exterior wall advertising âChinese mealsâ. Inside the restaurant is another sign stating âChinese foodâ. However when engaging with the waitress we were informed that the restaurant does not do Chinese food only grills and pizzas. Shame.
