Iâve wanted to eat here since the renovation, it is now such a lovely place and we have had drinks in the garden during the summer. My husband and I went there to celebrate some good news, the staff were very friendly, starters were nice but the main, slow cooked lamb shanks were tough and very tasteless, we were told that they had been slow cooked for 6 hours in the oven, I did wonder if the oven had been turned on. We ate here twice during our stay at Cottage Lodge. Both meals were excellent.
