We dined at this place for 2 times during our stay in mirissa. It is located in the beachside and has a great view. The food was cheap as compared to other places. But it was not that tasty, we tried other places and there the food was awesome. But the staff was great and during the happy hours you get cheap beer. You can give this place a try for one time. I loved the ocean view and the close waves near the restaurant. And the ambiance of the place is super good. Hope they improve on the quality of food and presentation, but except that it is really a nice place.

It serves the best seafood in Mirissa. The lobster and red snapper that the owner Sirri cooks are simply divine. I would like all our fellow travellers to enjoy this magnificent food. Skype : oceanmoon46.
The staff were very helpful and agreed to cook the tuna how we wanted it, very lightly cooked, and they succeeded. As a result this was by far the best tuna I have had in Sri Lanka and at a very reasonable price. The jumbo prawns were very slightly overlooked but still very yummy. Beautiful location on the beach. What more can one ask?

I've literally just had the most amazing breakfast here so felt they deserved a review. Avocado toast with eggs - Yum! The best breakfast yet. As usual the Sri Lankan people are absolutely lovely â¤ï¸

GREAT FOOD at cheap prices and great service. There place has been open just for two weeks so is completely new, chic and by far the cleanest place âIve seen so far.The staff is very present, professional and quick. We have met Praneeth here and other than really good at his job he went out of his way to help us with our transportation personally contacting drivers for us.My boyfriend and I ate there for dinner jaffies, curry in a hurry and fresh fruit juices right on the beach. We were so satisfied that we had to come back for lunch even tough was not on our trip plan, then we got chocolate pancakes a burger and some more juice (delicious).A SPECIAL PLACE ON THE BEACH!

Pappagallo is the first original Italian restaurant in Mirissa. We are specialized in bruschetta and pasta. Every day we use only fresh ingredients.
We visited this restaurant after seeing all the rave reviews on here. There is no signage for this place and we even walked passed it along the beach. Unfortunately our experience was not the same as nearly all the other people that came here. The owner was too busy on his phone most of the time and not tending to the restaurant. When we arrived there were 2 x tables already occupied by 1 person at each table and both had already been served. We ordered drinks with waitress. My mojio was not good and really sweet. Finally ordered our food with owner requesting that even though my prawn pasta dish on the menu said it had no chilli i asked if it had chilli and oh yes it has chilli in it and requested no chilli be added to my pasta with a "Yes, yes of course I will tell the cook" but then 2 European girls sat at a table. The Europeans were given their drinks straight away and not long after their food arrived. After a while our bruschetta was served. Literally 2 pieces of toast with sliced tomato on it and sprinkled with oregano and salty as, nothing authentic so far? Waited then another 30 min for our pasta to arrived. They served from a pan and asked while serving : "if that was enough ? and how hungry are you "? Wth? We ordered ages ago of course we are hungry now. What else were they going to do with it? Put it in someone else's meal? The pasta was out of a box , thought the italian owner may have made his own authentic pasta ? and yes my prawn pasta had chilli in it. I returned my dish and cancelled it and shared my husband's tomato pasta dish with him. Meanwhile a table of 10 Europeans walked in and they were tended to straight away.

Had the chicken tortilla wrap and the chicken had definitely been cooked/ fried a couple of weeks before, then frozen and then re-heated. It was unpalatable.Would not recommend, left all of it. Dear Guest, We are very sorry that your experience with us was poor. We take great care in serving our guests with food that is best in taste as well as in quality. Therefore, we are not sure of what took place here. Nevertheless, our apologies. Eat.....Live.....Love

Smoothie bowl, breakfast and brunch bar located in Mirissa. Serving delicious healthy favourites like wholemeal bread, Avo toast, poached eggs with a local twist!
Lovely eggs and coffee. Its modern and has an Australian coffee shop design to its look. The only thing that didn't make this review 5 star are the flies and the fact the waiters would clear a plate before the other person was done.

Chilled beach side Cafe serving eclectic cuisine featuring the best of home grown produce and refreshing beverage concoctions. Bring a towel and laze in the pool while enjoying vistas of the terquoise blue ocean. Escape. Unwind. Savour.
Waiters arenât helpful or accommodating at all - borderline rude even. Food was average at best despite being relatively more expensive than others. There are far better restaurants in Mirissa for a good meal. The only thing going for this place is the view - beachside with a pool. Would highly recommend finding another spot along Mirissa Beach as there are plenty of great restaurants with good vibes. We firstly would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused as per the comments which you have mentioned above. We are very keen in maintaining our high standards and trust kept in our food and service. In order to further evaluate the matter we have personally messaged you.Hope to hear from you soon. Thank you.

There are plenty of seafood restaurants in Mirissa, but at Freshwave, weâve added a little extra to the experience. The restaurant has been designed for happy chaos and lively banter, similar to the hubbub of a seafood market. Frshwaveâs day begins in the
Amazing restaurant right on the beach. My partner and I tried almost everything on the menu and were never disappointed. I particularly loved the mango lassi and the curry was one of the best I've ever had! The staff were super friendly and helpful, providing us with valuable local knowledge. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip. The happy hour from 1-10pm was a nice touch too
