New Town - Pub & Cuisine is a multi-cuisine family restaurant offering Seafood, Tandoor, Chinese, Continental, Indian & Goan delights. It is located approximtely 350 mts. away from the famed Lover's beach at Betalbatim, in Goa, India. The Pub is exquisite
The evening we visited The New Town we were the only ones there but this didn't spoil our visit as we were looking for somewhere quite for a romantic meal.As it was before the main season started up I expected for some of the items on the menu to to be available, but everything we ordered was there. We had several drinks, starters, mains a shared dessert and 2 liqueurs to finish and the bill was just over IR1300The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavour and taste. The owner and waiter could not have been more helpful if he had tried. I can imagine that this restaurant gets quite busy when the season gets into full swing, and I would visit again if we were ever back in the area.
A little bit lost in the jungle a really nice place well decorated with lovely waiters that serve good food European and Indian with a touch of modernity highly recommended even its a little bit pricey. Be careful there is 2 menus the started and the main menu. The started could be eaten as main plate as they are big. We had chicken cafreal grilled chicken with spicy garlic as starter and it was very good

Special Biryanis & Tandoor Combos, Seafood, Indian, Bar & Grill. Enjoy the Lovely Ambiance with a Cocktail or two while enjoying some cool relaxing music. Come alone and with your Family & Friends to enjoy a lovely time at Elliots.
Elliots has a great ambience, cheerful staff and good food. For vegetarians there is ample choice and prices are reasonable. The only drawback was slow service, the staff were attentive but they seemed to be a bit short staffed as the place wasn't really full. Also, they said they accepted cards but the card machine wasn't working at the time of billing, so keep cash handy. But otherwise a great place to head to if you have plenty of time for a laidback meal.

We had a great evening dining by the beach soaking the moonlight! This humble beach shack had amazing sea food, prompt service and made seating arrangement on the beach with small tents which made the ambience very romantic! They serve fresh menu and have a very friendly staff! Drop in from some mouthwatering sea food and chilled beer right on the beach!

This place is bang on the beach and huge and you can feel the sand on the floor. Food is competent although the fresh seafood slightly expensive. They charged 2600 for a full red snapper and suggested to do it tandoori style, which was great. However the lobster in butter garlic was neither fresh nor tasted good. the other seafood was competent but the pork in the chilly fry had too much fat. the local beer, eight finger eddie, was nice. service was prompt

Heard very much about Martin's down south and headed straight out to experience what is known as the best in town. I now start to wonder whether the stupendous reviews do live up to its mark over a period of time. There should be an annual review of such ratings to ensure they stand to it's rank and foodies like us get a fair deal of understanding of what we would be experiencing. We went on Oct 20th here to get the best of what Martin had to offer. I must say, their live music is what we enjoyed the most and they really made us dance and groove to their lively music...Hats off. Now coming to the food, I had the worst experience with one of thir captain named "Harinder". As a tourist place, you would expect a good understanding of the local cuisine and what goes into the making of the dish....especially when children's and families are with you. I was expecting they would patiently mention their speciality dishes and give suggestions. However, they were more in a hurry instead of listening to your needs and wants. For once we had to request 4 times to waiters and captain to provide side salads like slide onions, chilies and lemon wedges but it was like it felt on their deaf ears. We were almost finished when they managed to get it....such a frustrating moment for us.I again would like to request Martin's to see if they can ensure their Captains and staffs are courteous to customers since we only come from very far to experience the hospitality and politeness that it has to offer. We would only want to come back again given the positive experience and moments we want to take back every time. It surely has lot of areas to look for improvement. Consistency of service is important rather than legacy which of not will only become an history one day. We just don't want to talk about Martin's one day but enjoy their food everytime.Hope the management can make a note of this review and improve upon.HelloWe are so sorry for this sad episode, appreciate your time to write this detailed feedback. With respect to the service part and the particular individual you have mentioned, we would like to inform you that the said Captain has been suspended from his services with us from yesterday itself. Though we do take great care during the screening, selection & training of staff, sometimes we do come across such situations once they are onboard. We always keep a vigilant eye on new staffers and this particular individual had been warned and asked to improve upon after receiving similar complaints. (But as we don't have a hire & fire policy, we do give a stipulated amount of time to improve upon before taking any stringent actions)We are happy that you liked the ambience & LIVE music during your visit then & we would really like if you would come back and enjoy our cuisines & services. RegardsTeam Martin's

Quick service, good food especially the vegetarian dishes. Occasional live music. Prices are good. Maybe lacks some atmosphere @ tables very close together but still a good place to eat.

The food is here is excellent and so are the people. Absolutely beautiful food. The fry beef was awesome. I tried the manchow soup which was lovely. But the best was their caramel custard. I could not stop having that, portion one after the other. Don't ever miss that if you are here. Hello! we spent every day of our 2 week holiday at Sams shack and had a great time. food and drink plentiful however menu a bit limited we queried why there were no biryanis on the menu and were told we could have one just ask for it.We tended to eat indian food for lunch and everything was excellent , we had dinner once and there was a fantastic atmosphere - we wished we had gone back for dinner more.Prices were all very reasonable
