This is an original long ago established restaurant, café - bar. Over the years renovated, and extended with some hotel rooms. Staff is very friendly, helpful and well-trained. After many years we returned for lunch, and discovered the original hospitality is still present, now under management of the founderâs son. Good quality Dutch styled cuisine.The restaurant is easy to find at the right-hand side of the road coming from Hilversum almost at the beginning of the village Oud-Loosdrecht, with ample parking facilities. Highly recommended.

We had a really good meal here with colleagues. The evening started really positively and with attentative service. We got to order drinks and they took our orders. The wines were excellent in relation to the price we paid and we had a very nice meal. The starters were displayed beautifully and they were tasty. We had to wait quite a long time for the mains but they were also good. Some of us had desert and that looked good too. From a food perspective I would rate it close to Michelin class and it really was not expensive. The service deteriorated through the evening which was strange they only had two tables to serve. Because of this I do not regard this experience as excellent.

From the location, ambiance, the good taste, perfect presentation and professional service I couldnât ask for more. It was the best culinary experience for me in my many trips to Netherlands. The price is very reasonable and for the good taste and beautifully presentation of the dishes, it was perfect. We definitely would come back. This is the place for fine dining with a good view of the lake.

The restaurant is adjacent to the castle and the glorious landscaped gardens. The menu is simple but well selected with mainly Dutch dishes. Food is good and hot when served. The service staff are friendly and charming. After your visit you can either visit the gardens or get a tour in the castle (both subject to extra charge) Make sure you check on the opening days and times which may vary. Old friends who live here took us to enjoy an evening meal. I had herring as a starter and halibut to follow. Both were delicious. We drank house white wine - the Sauvignon Blanc was excellent. Two courses each â¬217 including tip.

This place is really nice and their staff is very friendly and helpfull. All our food and drinks were delicious, however we had to wait for a cold wrap more than 30 mins. it was worth the wait, but only if you have the time. place has relaxed atmosphere. will come back.

The concept of dishes larger than appetizers but smaller than entrees is great. There is a nice range of food choices. The staff was super friendly and service was excellent and the place more crowded than any restaurant I've ever been to in Hilversum. Prices were fair. They had an English menu for my colleagues.
