Find out what International restaurants to try in Leipzig. It’s always hard to fill the shoes of someone who used to do your job very well. If you’re the choirmaster at St. Thomas Church in Leipzig, guess whose shoes you have to fill? Bach’s. (No pressure.) Leipzig is closely connected to classical music—Wagner was born here, and Mendelssohn established a conservatory here in 1843. If you’re more of a melancholy, contemporary type, visit during the Wave-Gotik-Treffen, billed as the world’s largest "dark" (Goth, industrial, punk, etc.) music festival.

By way of culinary highlights the STEAKTRAIN Restaurant offers various meat specialities such as for instance US bison meat, an especially high-quality meat, or beef from Holstein cattle, which is distinguished by its fine marbling and first-class taste.
Steak Train is an interesting venue. Style and decor of a train coach dining car, yet with a modern flair. We enjoyed a holiday dinner with 9 adults and a pet (very pet friendly); though a large group we received excellent service. Staff was warm and welcoming; excellent wine list to complement the dinner menu offerings. Quality of the steak was excellent, sides were OK - could have been a little warmer, yet we rate this restaurant as a 'must' for 'Foodies' looking for quasi-American cuisine. We will visit again. Many thank for your excellent feedback! :-)

You wouldn't say it on the outside, but once you walk in you are swept away to ancient times. The feel of the place is absolutely the atmosphere of a large castle library. The endless books, all the frames on the walls, the large upholstered chairs. Simply wonderful! Not unimportant is that the service was lovely and the food absolutely delicious. What a lucky girl I am to be taken to this great place!!

Better than your standard Irish pub this well situated pub in the heart of Leipzig is a gem. Surrounded by other bars and restaurants it's definitely one to visit. Sit inside drink the dark stuff , watch sport if you want or sit outside in the spacious courtyard under the heat lamps it's up to you. Serves burger type meals as well. Unspoiled like some nice cities by hen nights, enjoy it whilst you can.

If you'd visit in just one restaurant / café in Leipzig, this should be it! 360 view over Leipzig in a fine restaurant and it's not so expensive what you might think about this kind of panorama restaurant. We also saw how they decorated tables for candle light dinners. This is the best place to celebrate your special moment or propose in Leipzig!Remember to book a table advance enough, it may vary a lot how quick you'll get that! To be sure I heard two days.

We ordered a drink before looking at the menu. We waited 15 minutes before being served a beer and coke. During that time we had not found a pleasing dish on the very concise menu, only snacks. Although the décor is nice I cannot perceive this as a restaurant.Dear customer,First of all I would like to thank you for sharing your concerns with me and my team.I am verry sorry that you had an unfortunately long waiting time for your drinks and hope that the next time we can delight you with our usually fast service. As for the menu, we like to keep it short in order to ensure that all our ingredients are fresh and seasonal. For us that means fewer items, but higher quality. Most of all, we are always happy about constructive criticism and thrive to perfect our service, food and ambience continuously. With kind regards and the hope to be able to welcome you back next time,Attila KarolyRestaurant Manager

From chic to cozy, this cafe will make you feel comfortable! The food is great. Especially Shakshuka... it is egg with tomato sauce. Now the team... like I said befor this team persuaded me to work with them (I live in Leipzig so it is no problem). What is to say more? Come and visit us. See you soon.

The Falco offers you a dining experience that is out of this world! Peter Maria Schnurr presents a menu bursting with fresh light flavours that will make gourmets and connoisseurs feel as if they are floating 27 floors above the roofs of Leipzig! The rest
We were thrilled with our dinner at Falco. The food was creative and delicious without being pretentious and the service was excellent but surprisingly warm and gracious. We love avant garde gastronomy, but the truth is it can sometimes feel stilted or precious, like the chef is trying too hard. (Hajime in Osaka comes to mind)Falco was not like that. There were innovative parings and beautiful presentations, but at all times you could feel the chef's passion for his food. The restaurant itself is wonderfully situated at the top of the Westin, with gorgeous views. The staff was delightful- hostess, servers and sommelier-- and they made our experience there an adventure and a celebration.Leipzig itself was a charming surprise for us and this dinner was a definite highlight. It is no wonder that reservations can be difficult to secure - so make sure to reserve in advance.

The service was excellent and special. Although we were there for the first time we were treated like old friends in no time. The food was delicious, more than enough. The interior is quite unique: modern with lots of mirrors, yet very welcoming and comfortable.

We enjoyed an excellent meal in this cosy little restaurant which had a log fire (very welcome on chilly night). The menus are all in German but staff were very helpful about translating. They also recommended a very good French red wine to complement the food. Our main was duck which was incredibly tasty and tender. Great experience all round. They even advised us the best route to walk home!

It turns out to be a very good choice for German food in a typical cellar environment, despote the rather limited menu.Service is fast and efficient, even when the place is busy, and food is quite good, but with portions too small for the price charged.Skip the cucumber suop, it tastes absolutely like nothing!
