Sushi not at all what we expected - would not order sushi at this restaurant. Edamame was good, prawn dumplings were ok. Kid's menu had chicken fingers so grandkids were happy. Probably a great place for a drink when the weather is good. Pretty restaurant. As all things in Zurich - overpriced for what you get.Dear Terry Thank you very much for your feedback. We were very pleasantly impressed about Mesa.A nice and relaxed ambience, great relaxed and personal service from start to end. We really felt at easy and enjoyed the down to earth service.Great menu with the choice of a la carte of fixed menu. There may be other specialized (kebap, Asian) cheap places in the city to eat, but none of them offers such a complete, hearty meal at such an exceptional price! Epi Park is part rehab clinic, conference center, school and of course the Epi Park cafeteria and can be accessed with public transit Bus 77 from Hegibachplatz. There are animals (horses, goats and fowl) at the complex, which would keep the kids amused. Ok, back to the cafeteria.My first visit and every visit since then to Epi Park cafeteria has been impressive. I have had lunch there at least once every week. The place is spotless, there is always plenty of staff around to assist or explain inquiries or even if you look confused. The cafeteria is open all day for fruit, snacks and hot/cold beverages, but the exceptional deal here are the daily lunch menu selections. Each day there is a soup, salad, sandwiches available and the meals consists of four options: Pasta 13CHF, Vegetarian 13.50CHF, Classic 15.50CHF and Meditterean 16.50CHF. All selections come with a choice of soup or salad and on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday the meal also includes dessert. The is also a free self-service water station with glasses, jars and lemon wedges.I would suggest arriving at opening (11.30am) as the place is really packed by 12noon. The dining area is huge. There are various sections inside some without a view, but most with a view of the lake. There are two seating areas under the glass awning and a large outside terrace with a stunning view over Lake Zurich. I have nothing but great comments to say about the entire staff, food, atmosphere and all for a great price! Highly, highly recommended.

They have a bit of everything for good variety but nothing too special and not their signature taste. Also I found things bland overall but for everyone to like.This location is usually well visited but so far always found a space for one.If you restrict yourself to what you actually would eat, the cost is not too high.

This restaurant is part of the hotel Sedartis, walking distance from Thalwil train station. Each Friday they offer a three menu evening dinner with a starter, salmon or beef tartar and chips and a dessert. The restaurant is situated in a beautiful medieval building at the first floor. The room has been renovated at itâs best. The food is outstanding. We had duck liver on caramelized pickled cabbage. Best we ever had! Main was KAPAUN a special kind of special chicken from France, a specialty during the Xmas season. Again superb! The good service was topped by the tenant/director Sepp Wimmer who is attentively looking after his guests. Great location just off BanhofstrasseRelatively small place : 2 big downsides, the wine list is very short (and priced pretty highly), and there are only 2 waiters (and I imagine a small cooking staff), so the service was really slow (despite making clear we had a train to catch and giving a lot of notice we still had to leave the place in a rush)My starter of steamed spring roll was rather good, though the chicken was too dryThe main of seared tuna was excellentDisappointing desert though (molten chocolate cake) - both too small and a touch too dryIf you have plenty of time, might be worth a visit, but you pay premium price for the location I imagine, and you can find better experiences imho

This restaurant deserves the two Michelin stars. Chef Heiko Nieder is brilliant in his presentation; the dishes are beautiful to look at as much as they are delicious to eat. Special dinner with family - special it was. An interesting experience we were pleasantly surprised by the food offerings and the quality. Very good tomato/mozzarella salad, outstanding beef with couscous, cooked avocado (excellent) and another vegetable that we are still debating (seeing your food IS important). Ice cream was clearly home-made, another bonus.Definitely something to try at least once - book in advance and "play the game" (remember to shut off your phone, put your fluorescent watch in your pocket, etc.).
