While the food served is quite good for Kota Kinabalu standard and with adequately attentive service staff, the only issue may be just naming of an ingredient in their Roasted Beetroot Salad may be misleading. The Marinated 'Kinarut' Feta which we thoroughly enquired was not actually Feta but dairy cheese from locally raised cattle. Our culinary vocabulary could be limited but it is generally understood that Feta is churned from goat's or sheep's milk which hardly contains lactose. A member of our group is intolerant to dairy lactose and therefore this question was raised with the kitchen. They confirmed the "Feta" is made from cow's milk which may have unpleasant results if ingested by a person with lactose intolerance. We hope the F&B department will look into this and give more details in their menu.

The location was very good with sea and island views. The ambiance was fairly standard beach side bar and grill in a major hotel. The service was friendly (there is a 10% service cnagrge) and the food was typical bar food that you get in these type of hotel restaurants. It was tasty enough but not special.

I am an expat living & working in Sabah & Sarawak for 24 years. My work has engaged me to live, work and travel extensively throughout these 2 Malaysian states. My eating experiences here range wildly from jungle produce in the interior of Sarawak to street food to 5 star hotel eateries in the cities.I tried dinner tonight at the Adelphi & Co restaurant in KK for the first time. This restaurant will not disappoint. I chose the rib eye steak burger with hand cut potato chips. One of the best burgers I have ever eaten, period. Perhaps not in the price range of many however the quality and taste of this meal is worth splashing out on. The sliced steak in the burger was tender and cooked perfectly, blended with a slight tang from the melted cheese and mixed with the other fillings to produce a juicy mouth watering burger.Nice ambience with friendly attentive staff. Great informative website too.Hello Paul, thank you for writing us such a nice review! Our team are incredibly glad that you enjoyed your dining experience with us! Your kind words definitely made our team feel appreciated. We do hope that you will drop by again in the future to try out other items on our menu as we change it once every few months! Thank you once again and we hope to see you soon!

I had a mini family gathering yesterday at Latest Recipe. The sumptuous hi-tea was well spread and adequate to cater to those with discerning taste buds. From local to western cuisine, it was awesome! I, for one has a sweet tooth - was absolutely delighted with the vast desserts range and each of it was savoured and sampled with a grin on my face. A special shout out to Mr Roger Juis who is the Venue F&B Manager. His impeccable and warm service in ensuring the perfect arrangement was greatly appreciated by my family and I. The service staff was prompt and you can be assured of a top notch service with a smile despite the restaurant was running on full capacity. Highly recommended and would certainly pay another visit in the near future. Keep up the good work!!!Dear Emelia, Thank you for choosing Latest Recipe Kota Kinabalu and for taking the time to review us! Thank you for the excellent full 5/5 star rating! We are very happy you enjoyed the weekend high tea with us and loved the desserts wonderland and our hospitality with special mention to our Mr Roger, our restaurant manager. Very disappointed. We ordered a âLife is a Celebrationâ set dinner for 7 people. This restaurant didnât serve like fine dining. Well, the waiters do have good altitude.1. Starting with our bread (2 choices)-BUT you are not allowed to choose what you want. The waiter said finished.2. Main course(Beef)- you are not allowed to choose your own preferences ( how you want your beef....). The waiter told me in this set dinner-all beef have to be well done. (Unbelievable! Beef lover-you know what I means)3. Dessert- most of our desserts came with âmeltingâ ice-cream and different timing plus missing things for 2 people. (7 of us ordered the same desserts)I do understand âyou get what you pay for..âI knew this is a set-dinner with cheap price RM140/ RM190(with flight wine). However, this fine dining is not what I expected like after reading all the reviews. Did I expected too much? Mmmm...Especially the writing plate for the surprise birthday cake! (Speechless) I FELT embarrassed to arrange this. ( Low standard white plate with the writing- Not like what I saw from other reviewers)

The draw card is the spectacular sunset. However, it is pretty good from midday to late evening. It is usually cool because of breeze. Staff are really nice. Food is okay but you because of the rooftop.
