We visit every few months and always enjoy the experience. This time we went for lunch with a group of friends. I had carrot and coriander soup which was very tasty. Others had whitebait which was nicely presented. I, and a number of others, had cod Mornay on rosti potatoes - very good and accompanied with a good variety of vegetables. I didnât have a dessert but those who did enjoyed them. The service was of a reasonable standard, particularly considering the students were only in their first year. Well worth a visit, both as an enjoyable experience and to support the students.Thank you for your kind comments the students will look forward to seeing you in the restaurant again very soon.

I went for Sunday lunch yesterday and the food was excellent. Having come from a catering background and also a head chef, you know when the food is good. The gravy that was made fresh from the beef drippings was to die for and the slices of meat were thick not thin. We will definitely be there again soon.Thank you for taking you time to send us your positive review. We are very pleased that you enjoyed your Sunday lunch and look forward to welcoming you in the near future.Warm regards

Thank goodness! This place has not been done up. The bar side of it has received little attention for several years, but is no worse for that. The restaurant room at the back has a bare floor and basic pine tables, but the food was very good. We had the roast beef Sunday lunch - with 9 different vegetables on the plate! We will definitely be back whenever we are in Heacham. Please don't modernise the Fox and Hounds.
