Fitted out in the nature of a large chalet, this restaurant serves a modern twist on traditional German food and also dishes you can expect to find anywhere in the world from a commercially aware business. Popular stuff like steaks, ribs etc, all available, with the German dihes like Schnitzel etc. All standard stuff. Staff were friendly and efficient as the restaurant was nearly empty, but I don't know what service would be like if the place was really busy. I've eaten in many places like this arouind the world, food was decent and price was average. Nothing to complain about. I'd visit again.

Friends of ours invited us out on our last day in Moenchengladbach to this well run restaurant and we were happy to finish off our germany tour here!We were immediately greeted after entering and had the choice between a couple of tables. The ambiance & design is quite special but still comfortable at the same time. The menu is very large with creative dishes mainly covering the mediterranean, turkish and german cuisine. My wife had the Sis kebab (lamb skewers) and I myself went for the grill platter. The portions are big,the quality of the meat fantastic and the plate nicely arranged !Service was very well trained to know their menu as we had alot of questions. If you're into wines, they have an amazing selection of spanish reds and german white wines. The service recommended wines which went very well with our red meat dishes.Overall a nice evening in a cozy setting great for longer conversations with friends and family ! Hope to come back one day !
Best European food near Juchen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany
This castle with its lovely moated grounds is the centre of shows for particularly German Ponies. There is a large arena which can be made quite warm and has very good seating for the public. It is the centre where registration of ponies is kept, including my young stallion who was born and lives in England. In October they assessed the young 2 year old pony stallions including New Forest Ponies but most were the German Riding Ponies which have become the best in the world for Dressage. These 2 year old ponies were required to loose jump. Most of these ponies are of British origin but they have bred them carefully so that they now have exceptional movement , good bone and temperament. So when ridden they have become the best in the world scoring very highly at the european championships and usually winning overallMy second visit in February was to celebrate 25 years of the Ferienhof Stud.I hired a car this time but remember to take your own satnav as hiring costs twice as much if you need a satnav !
