It is 60 km south of Toluca, the state capital. The word Ixtapan comes from Nahuatl. There are two theories as to the origin of the name. The first one states that it is composed of iztal, which means salt, and pan, which means over or in. The second one states that it comes from iztac, which means white, atl, which means water; and pan, which means in white waters. "de la Sal" is Spanish for "of salt".

La sopa sin sabor, el pollo estaba viejo, el lugar es caro comparado con otros restaurantes que están a menos de una cuadra de distancia.Los baños no cierran bien y no hay asiento en el WC, además la puerta la tienen abierta todo el tiempo y entra el aire frÃo directo a la espalda.

Fui duas vezes no mesmo dia , experimentei o camarão ao coco que vem com uma salada de milho e tomate e um creminho agridoce , muito boa combinação .Também aprovei o creme de elote e pimiento A noite comi o camarão ao alho , muoto saboroso.Apenas uma sugestão para esse camarão, colocar bem menos alho.Atendimento muito bom , chefe e garçonete Nancy muito atenciosos e entendidos.
