Where to eat International food in Isle of Palms: The Best Restaurants and Bars

Reviews on International food in Isle of Palms, South Carolina, United States. Bordered by pristine beaches and a network of marsh creeks, the barrier island of Isle of Palms has been a vacation spot since the late 19th century when it was only accessible by ferry. In 1929, a bridge was built, which opened up the island to more than just local residents. Today, it’s the island’s great fishing, beaches and golf that provide a few of the magnets for visitors. With a laid-back, easy going, resort lifestyle, the most popular fashion statement is flip-flops and a t-shirt. Isle of Palms is a great place to gear down from a hectic lifestyle. The magnificent stretch of beach on Isle of Palms is both photogenic and fun. Once you’ve done your obligatory sunbathing and beachcombing at the Isle of Palms County Park Beach, head to nearby Charleston, a 30-minute drive away, which has historic sites, landmarks, shopping districts, golf courses and family attractions like The South Carolina Aquarium and Fountain Walk, a new dining, entertainment and shopping complex nearby. For golfers, the Wild Dunes Resort on the Isle of Palms features two 18-hole courses designed by Tom Fazio and there are several more excellent layouts on the mainland, including Patriots Point and Charleston National Country Club.

We went here with the friend we were staying with in Mt Pleasant. Friday night was cook your own steak night. Our kind of place. Got to pick out our own steaks. They cut them on the premises. Added seasonings in the plastic bag and let it sit for a few minutes. Then it was onto the grill. While they cooked we had a salad and our baked potato. They were huge. I also had 2 rum runners since I didn't have to drive. Really good. We ate on the deck of the post on the coast. Great place.

Graze is located in Mount Pleasant in a shopping plaza. It is a modern casual restaurant with eclectic and creative menu offerings ranging from seafood to southern eats. We visited for lunch and ordered the roasted turkey on grilled sourdough with brie, lingonberry preserve, and pesto. The side Graze salad with lemon vinaigrette was also very tasty, fresh, light and summery. My husband ordered the crispy chicken sandwich with house made pimento cheese and tomato jam and bacon with a side of pasta salad. We both enjoyed our meals and our server was great!

My wife and I celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary. We wanted something we had not done before so I booked this dinner cruise for Sunday night. It was very nice. Extremely relaxing. I booked a private table for 2. We both took the fish of the day which was salmon. Everything was delicious and generous portions. You get the she crab soup, a salad and choice of entrees which were fish of the day, chicken, pork, steak or shrimp & grits. (Don't remember seeing anything for vegetarians.) The cruise itself lasted about two and a half hours. Go up under the Ravenel Bridge, down along the battery, up to the Folly Beach Road bridge and back. We were served our dinner starting at 7:20 in courses during the cruise all the while being entertained by live music. The crew was very attentive and the service was great throughout the entire cruise. We went topside before and after dinner and enjoyed the breeze and Charleston skyline. Highly recommend it.
