Ilanz (Romansh: Glion) is a former municipality in the district of Surselva in the Swiss canton of Graubünden. The former municipality Ilanz was congruent with the town Ilanz, which is known now as Ilanz/Glion, as of 1 January 2014. On 1 January 1978 the former municipality of Strada merged into the new municipality of Ilanz. On 1 January 2014 the municipality of Ilanz and the surrounding municipalities Castrisch, Ladir, Luven, Pitasch, Riein, Ruschein, Schnaus, Sevgein, Duvin, Pigniu, Rueun and Siat merged into the new municipality of "Ilanz/Glion."

Ambiance classy and tweedy with excellent regional food and good service. The Easter-Special with goatling however was a disappointment, because it was practically non-existent - so menu totally misleading.. The lamb-chops with it superb.

Wir wollten am Nachmittag (15 Uhr 30) etwas trinken...nach 20 Minuten kam dann ein Kellner und wollte die Bestellung aufnehmen. Er teilte uns freundlich mit, dass wir weitere 20 Minuten auf unsere Bestellung warten müssten.. Dies haben wir dankend abgelehnt. 40 Minuten für ein Kaffee warten ist definitiv zu lang Servicepersonal hat es genug...aber wie sind sie geschult? Und wo ist der Chef?
