Hoorn [ˈɦoːr(ə)n] ( listen) is a municipality and a town in the Netherlands, in the province of North Holland. It is located on the Markermeer, 35 kilometres (22 mi) north of Amsterdam, and acquired city rights in 1357. Hoorn had a population of 72,707 in 2017. The area of the municipality is 53.25 km (20.56 sq mi) of which 33.00 km (12.74 sq mi) consists of water, mainly the Markermeer. The municipality consists of the following villages and/or districts: Blokker, Hoorn, Zwaag, and parts of Bangert and De Hulk.

Visiting with 8 people the service was somewhat chaotic. 4 Courses served, order 1-3-oh sorry-2-3-4. Overall quality of the food was good, atmosphere a little poor.

This nice small Dutch historic city situated to the Ijsselmeer has several locations where you can enjoy the peace and atmosphere of the see / lake including some beaches, restaurants and bars. This location is a bit further away and may in the distance appear a bit more like a hippy place or alternative place or so. But actually it is really nice. Inside less place than the outside but all comfy and proper seating. The staff helped us to get a good seating and even did a good job when we needed the sun screen adjusted. They dont have a large menu as it also depends a bit on what the fresh ingredients of that day have to offer. The pizzas are most often being offered and they are nice. You can lunch, grab a bite in between, enjoy a few snacks or really get some comfy food dinner. Honest and tasteful food. Good sized portions which are in balance with the prices to pay. We had a very nice relaxing chatting afternoon. Recommendation for this place.

This restaurant is a bit hidden in a smal street in the middle of Hoorn. They serve great food and the service is very friendly. Some times in summer it is very busy, so making a reservation is a good idea. There is a good selection of meat and fish. Also vegetarian. You can really take your time and enjoy your diner.They also have little bites you can order from the food counter.

After walking round Hoorn all day we were ready to relax and have a nice evening meal. And this place provided both. It doesn't look much from the outside, but inside there is nice decor and a wonderful atmosphere. One of the bartenders spoke excellent English, which was great because we can't speak Dutch. We both had stew and it was superb. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a nice pub that provides good food at an affordable price.

Met 2 vriendinnen hier lekker gegeten. Vooraf verschillende kleine gerechtjes, heel lekker (ik ben ook gek op tarama salade, dat stond helaas niet op de kaart). Als hoofd de mix grill, kip en gyros heerlijk, souflaki beetje droog. Lekker met tzatziki rijst en frietjes. Aardige gastheer!

This place is a little gem in the centre of Hoorn. The service was friendly. We had cappuccino and a double espresso. Perfect taste. We also had the Apple tart which was very nice but the Fig cake was to die for. Will definitely be coming back soon.

This great pub-restaurant has a great menu. Simpel but great quality meat. The tournedos and spareribs are fantastic. The portions are big and you will leave with a very satisfied feeling. What I likes best is the staff. The know what it means to 'serve' their customers. They are very helpful, but also very attentive. Asking you at the right moment if you need anything else? Your glas of wine, beer, soda will never be empty!Really great restaurant, also with kids.

The place may just look like a run of the mill cafe, but the food is fabulous! Ordered a glas of red while perusing the menu; it came with a glass of water and they brought some bread while we were waiting with herb butterOur meals were cooked as ordered and surpassed our expectations!Highly recommended!

We found this on TripAdvisor and were delightfully surprised. It's a lovely setting with a very nice outdoor patio space. The menu is great, the food was delicious and the service was spot on! What more can you ask for?It's been my experience that food in the Netherlands is not as good as other countries like France or Italy. This was not only our best meal in the Holland but as good as anything we've experienced on the continent.
