Dun Cow is a family run destination pub with dining, just outside of Knutsford centre in Ollerton. There is a large selection of dishes from pub favourites, sandwiches, chargrill section, a la carte options, and fresh seafood, all delivered and prepared d
Six of us went for a birthday celebration. The landlord welcomes everyone and the atmosphere is great. We all enjoyed our food - probably the best we have had in a long time! We would definitely recommend The Dun Cow, but it is probably best to book because it was really busy. Thanks very much for you reviewRegardsCurtis

Lovely building both inside and out with a vibrant Saturday night buzz about the place when we arrived for our table booked for dinner. Iâd booked by email and by phone but on arrival we werenât âin the bookâ but not a problem as they still had tables free so only a short wait whilst one was made ready for us which meant I got to discover a very nice pint of Brooklyn Lager while we waited at the bar. I still had to go and chase up our table after a while though. The staff are very pleasant but I think they are a bit short handed on a busy night as we had to wait for menus (theyâd run short of them), our promised water for the table never arrived, had to get their attention to place our order and we only got a âcheck backâ at the end of the meal after we had to flag them down again to ask for the bill. My scotch egg starter was ok as were the bed of peas it came sitting on but the whole thing was way too big for a starter and relied on seasoning rather than inherent taste. Mrs O enjoyed her chicken parfait but the plate it was on had a stale smell to it like it had sat stacked in a cupboard for a while or in a dishwasher that needed a clean. We both had Korean buttermilk chicken burger for main. Again a little tasteless with the coating too thick, too over cooked so tasting a little bitter and falling away from the chicken in chunks rather than coating it, the sriracha slaw had no evidence of heat I could detect and the âdripping chipsâ were just french fries. It wasnât âbadâ but left me wondering how it was the rose & crown wears the crown of #1 in knutsford on TA. Dinner for 2 of us was £58 plus a £5 tip for staff who were trying their best but just werenât âon itâ that night.
