Beautiful gardens and extremely child friendly. Good franconian food and beer. They have a gorgeous indoor barn that can be used for events or big groups. Worth the short drive out into the countryside.

In regelmäÃigen Abständen gibt's beim Utz die Seefischtage, in denen auÃerhalb der normalen Karte frische, wechselnde Fischgerichte angeboten werden. Zu dieser Gelegenheit waren wir wieder mal da, und haben sehr gut gegessen. Neben den Fischen sind auch die Gerichte der 'normalen Karte' sehr zu empfehlen. Der Service war aufmerksam und kompetent, es wurden auch die passenden Weine zu den jeweiligen Gerichten angeboten.Für Ortsfremde: Adelsdorf ist der Name der GroÃgemeinde, den Gasthof finden Sie in dem Ortsteil Weppersdorf, ca. 2 km vom Adelsdorfer Ortskern entfernt, an der StaatsstraÃe 2264. Wie viele Gaststätten der Gegend hier hat auch das Gasthaus Utz einen Bierkeller (woanders würde man Biergarten sagen), 2km von Weppersdorf mitten im Wald, vom Frühjahr bis Herbst je nach Wetterlage.

I went to the Goldner Engel in Weisendorf to meet with old high school friends who recommended the restaurant. We had a fabulous dinner sitting on the beautiful patio. Everyone's meal looked awesome! I was amazed at the variety of items on the menu from traditional German favorites to unique salads, to Pizza, to more eclectic International choices you would find in fine dining establishments. The wonderfully joyful owner Ulrike personally welcomed us and we received outstanding, friendly service throughout. I ordered the pork schnitzel (one of my favorite German dishes) which is like a thin scallopini, breaded and panfried (important, you don't want to get one deep fried!). The portion was very generous, the meat was lean and well seasoned, and it was served with delicate white asparagus, a seasonal specialty. Absolutely delicious, I loved it!
