When Hamburg is what you're after, with a wide variety of toppings this is the place to visit. We enjoyed Hamburg with cheese, pineapple and salad. Add to this some large glasses of soft drink and rice on the side, and we had our fill. It was great. We couldn't leave without dessert, and we decided to enjoy one between us. This is a family friendly restaurant, the kids were well looked after at surrounding tables.

overall rating: 4-1/4 starsAiya was fun! The izakaya-style ground-floor space accommodates under 25 diners, so making a dinner reservation via the shop's website was a good move. The shamisen music and singing were wonderful. Although the menu was written in Japanese, knowledge of just a few words (sashimi, tempura, junmai gingo, etc.) should suffice...or maybe, like me, you will get lucky and be served by a friendly English-speaking staff member/musician. The food, drink, and vibe were great. I recommend Aiya!
