Very fresh food, flexible staff to adapt the dishes to what you want. Some of us had fish, others had meat and all came perfect, very fresh, nice taste. Simple, but good. Maybe slightly expensive, but of course, you are at the heart of Kortrijk...Thanks for your vizit ! Regards. Celine Brasserie Royale Kortrijk.

Traveled to Kortrijk with a group on business. The new owners (Husband and wife) provided excellent hospitality, fantastic food, and a very lovely atmosphere for our dining experience. The wok bowls are awesome, as were the steaks and pork cheeks. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic Kortrijk experience. PS - the crème brûle is one of the best I have had. Mike from Ottawa, CANADA

Beautiful bar in the city centre Enjoy our lovely terrace! You can have a drink, a bite or a meal! The menu follows the seasons and changes constantly Great beers and a fine selection of wines.
This was a first...As a group of 4, we browsed through tripadvisor looking for some nice place to have a meal, and this restaurant popped out. After arriving, we noticed there were a couple of free tables outside, and almost every table was empty inside. After asking where could 4 persons be seated, we were told "Sorry, we're expecting many people tonight". [it was 20h]Asking again since there were many available tables, and none appeared to be reserved, the answer was "There are many places you can eat at Grote Markt".And the guy simply turned his back to us.We were polite, travelling to Kortrijk in business, and this is simply incomprehensible on our end.

Good location and stylish interior decoration. Interesting menu at 45â¬. But service is hesitant, not up to par. The sole meunière was average. The tagliata as well (go and compare with to the unsurpassed tagliata in Bleu Blanc in Waregem for instance). We are not convinced ...Dear Gonzalo_de_Berceo,Thank you for your comment about our restaurant Damier. We're sorry you weren't convinced about our restaurant. Our restaurant is a restaurant that serves more refined food. With kind regards,Catherine DebalGeneral Manager

Location, interior decoration, outside terrace with herb garden, open kitchen, service, owners' personal welcome and interaction, all perfect ... as mentioned in many previous review reports (except for the Italian less talented tourist who thought this was a McDonalds). So why don't I rate this restaurant as excellent (yet)? In this restaurant you will experience a completely different gastromical adventure than in any other place in the world. It is a heaven of tastes. With herbs, plants and spices all coming from the chef's own garden. The problem is my frame of reference. How can I situate this experience comparing it to something similar? I have to be strict and fall back on my own taste system, which flagged some caveats. In one dish, there are so many ingredients that it takes the lady of the house ten minutes to recite them all. No problem with that, but how can you make something consistent as a concept with thirty-two tastes? My advice would be to reduce the number of ingredients - and the number of tastes - in order to build a stringer concept - and a stronger taste. A second advice would be to provide more food. This is not about eating, but about tasting, and visitors should be warned more strongly in advance. This is certainly one of the most interesting restaurants in the world, with exciting food, magnificent ambiance and great service. Combined with the excellent company we had at our table, it was an evening to remember. On the downside: expensive bill, mainly due to the expensive wines (by the glass).
