Reviews on International food in Guatemala City, Guatemala Department, Guatemala. Guatemala City draws visitors whose interests range from Maya history to contemporary culture. Two museums house Maya artifacts, some of which were discovered on a nearby archaeological site. Other museums exhibit indigenous and modern art. In Mercado Central, an underground market, shoppers bargain with vendors selling local handicrafts. Additional attractions include a botanical garden and a scale replica of the Eiffel Tower. A night out in bustling Zona Viva caps off a day of sightseeing.

Very nice restaurant in a quiet area of Zona 10. The ambience is lovely, and service is very good. I have tried several plates, with my favorite being their salmon, which is very well prepared and served. Try sitting outside, facing a small garden out front.

Jakeâs offers the top culinary experience in Central America, with spectacular interiors and exteriors, as well as an incomparable cocktail lounge.
Passing through Guatemala City and staying near Jakeâs. Came for dinner and was not disappointed. My only real disappointment is that they are closed tonight, the Day of the Dead. The meal was excellent.Met Jake after dinner in the bar and he was affable and friendly. His long connection with Guatemala made for some fascinating discussion. Hopefully when I return, he will be open againThank you Stuart! I'm pleased that you enjoyed your experience here at Jake's, and great chatting with you.I would also like to thank you for your time and effort in helping the people of Guatemala. Bless you!Jake

Beautiful, exclusive restaurant located 10 minutes away from the city, sorrounded by mountains and all the food is prepared by order by recognized Chef Ricardo Zachrisson.
great food and atmosphere. The breakfast selections are very good. I mainly come here for lunch, sometimes dinner. I have never had a complaint. They haven't lowered their food quality. Ingredients are fresh. One of my favorite restaurants in Guatemala. Thank you very much

Small restaurant, bistro type, with 12 tables. Very good service, the owner is at the restaurant attending customers. The menu has a variety of different types of food, some Spanish, Arabian, and other. You can tell that cooks make an effort to satisfy clients, for the way dishes are presented. Good quality food. Medium range prices. Highly recommended!

This is one of the best surprises I've had in a long, long time. We lucked out and got a table without a reservation (don't try this regularly) and were in for a treat. The wine list is as good as it gets (the sommelier is French) and the food spectacular. There were four in our party and between us we hit the bulk of the menu. Every dish was a delight. It's a great people watching spot and I'll be back soon, with a reservation.

Every morning was greeted with a smiling face and delicious breakfast. Not only do they have the regular breakfast staples, breads, eggs, cold cuts, they also have fresh fruit juices, omelette station, fried and boiled plantains (my favorites - yes for breakfast - don't judge) and the most delicious cheese bread! The waiters/waitresses were very friendly and attentive - whatever I needed it was brought to the table. What a pleasant way to start the day!Dear Guest,Thank you for your nice review, it is great to know that you completely enjoyed the delicious breakfast... fried plantains are the favorites here in Guatemala!
