I had dinner with a friend. We ordered grilled vegetables salad. The salad was a joke.Mini salad with two slices of carrots, two slices of Zukini, one slice of mushroom. It was a shame to call it salad. It came with no dressing at all.For this tiny miserable dish we paid 9 CHF.Than we ordered filet des perches. The dish was amazing.Very fresh and tasty filets with butter and limón sauce. The plate came with fries which where very tasty as well .But the price was too expensive. They charged 49 francs.I never ate in Geneva such costly filet de perches.Than we orders a Tiramisu which was ok.It was tasty. In total we paid 167 CHF for two people including one wine glass, one beer and cafe .In my opinion it's not worth it at all.The place looks old fashion .Stuck in the 70th or early 80th.On the other hand the service was good, friendly and efficient. It's an old style restaurant .

I can truly recommend the Restaurant Vieux Bois to celebrate a birthday lunch. My family and I booked a table outside to celebrate my father's 80th birthday. Jenny Champod did an excellent job in ensuring we had a beautiful birthday cake and an excellent table on the terrace/patio. As starters, the foie gras and cannelloni de crabe were a success. The Gaufre (waffle) aux fines herbes was good although probably too big for a starter. The sole meuniere was delicious (recommended) and the epaule d'agneau also got top marks. The food is beautifully presented and the service was efficient and friendly. I wish all the pupils (staff) much success with their careers in the industry. Well done - and will book a table again very soon.

My husband and I were staying at the Grand Kempinski Hotel and Le Grill is part of that hotel. We dined there one night and it was a great experience. The service is outstanding and the steak selections are on par with what you would find at a premium steakhouse in the US. The best part though was the dessert, a deconstructed Twix bar which was to die for! I would imagine that you would need a reservation during peak tourist times. For our trip in March we were able to get in without one.Dear Guest,Thank you for taking the time to write such a wonderful review about your recent experience at Le Grill.Your excellent comments on our outstanding service, premium selection of meat and delicious dessert are highly appreciated. I will make sure that everyone from Le Grill team will hear your kind words. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming again soon.Until then, I wish you all the best.Yours Sincerely,

My daughter comes here regularly and enjoys the food and normally has great, friendly service. We came and enjoyed the food, but had an odd experience with our waiter. My grandson spilled his water across the table. We asked the waiter for assistance. He seemed overwhelmed. Instead of a cloth towel, he proceeded to dab at the puddle with a series of paper napkins. The puddle was still there and we had to ask someone else for help.

Petit bistrot authentique des années 1900, servant pour le déjeuner une restauration a base de pâtes et pour le soir, un bar a cocktail et a vin, le tout dans une ambiance chaleureuse.
Decent pasta served in a cosy little restarant. Be prepared to queue to get a seat. Decent local wine too. Had a fantastic meal sitting at the bar. Worth the wait.
