We had a special ocassion dinner at Kemoll's and could not have had a greater experience in every regard - superb service, the beautiful dining room, and absolutely incredible food. The moment you walk in their front door the staff makes you feel special and warmly welcomed. I cannot tell you how sincere and genuine they are! The dining room we sat in was first class - modern but with a classical taste - very nice. The food - that's the BEST part. Our party covered most areas of the menu - our party had (among us) a steak, seafood, and the house specialty pasta. My steak was incredibly delicious and cooked perfectly to order. It had a great flavor. The pasta had sauce that is probably a Kemolls family secret recipe and for good reason - it was uniquely delicious and memorable.Salads were fresh, crisp, and premium ingredients. I am getting hungry again for Kemolls just recalling all this! You will most assuredly have the same great dinner and memorable experience we had.

Stopped by for an early dinner during the home opener. The restaurant is very spacious and has multiple dinning areas for parties or more intimate meals. They have a large patio with tables, couches, and a fireplace. Lucas Park also has a large bar to dine and drink at. The menu isn't the biggest but they make up for it with quality. From our appetizers to our meals everyone enjoyed the food and left full and happy. The smoked chicken meatballs and short rib sliders were great starters. The tenderloin was perfectly cooked & seasoned. The half chicken was juicy and tender. The restaurant has a great open cozy atmosphere with lots of big windows for natural light and window seat cushioned with throw pillows. Service was just as good as the food and atmosphere, we will definitely return next time we are in town.

Found a table for 2 on short notice. The service was excellent. The wine list interesting. The food was perhaps one of the best meals I have had recently in St. Louis. Creative preparations with interesting presentations and combinations of flavors. The octopus confit was awesome, the vegetarian tortellini perfect and the scallops entry delicious. Sydney Street is now my top pick in St. Louis!

We visited Clark Street Grill based on our review on the internet and because it was located inside the Westin Hotel, a chain that usually houses excellent restaurants. We should have suspected when we arrived that something was wrong. On the hotel's website, it is specified that there is a dress code, calling for "formal attire". When we arrived, around 7:00 pm, there was not a soul at the place. Three or four TV sets were blaring at the bar. The receptionist asked us whether we wished to sit at the bar; we declined, so we were led to a table. While the table had been set up earlier, several things were missing from each guests set-up. We waited for about 10 minutes when a sultry waitress came over an inquired what we had in mind. We ordered drinks and asked to see the menu and the wine list. After a lengthy interlude, the drinks appeared. We had ordered wines by the glass from a short list: it turned out the Sauvignon Blanc listed was not what appeared at our table. When we mentioned this to the waitress, first she said she wasn't sure, but that's what the bartender had poured. When pressed, she admitted that the bar was out of the Kim Crawford we had ordered, so they substituted something else without informing us. We had ordered baked or toasted ravioli, since we had been told by several locals this was a St. Louis delicacy. We got a plate of over-baked, dry collection of what was at one time ravioli. Nobody at our table considered it edible. The tomato basil soup came with soaked mushy croutons. The crab cakes were mostly filler, with little crab and the Greek salad was watery. The flat iron steak was overcooked, dry and chewy; so was the panko crusted salmon. When we mentioned this to our waitress, she just shrugged her shoulders and said she was sad it had turned out this way. We left most unsatisfied, and rather hungry, since we left most of our meal at the table. Nobody bothered to ask us whether thee was anything wrong, nor was any attempt made to correct this disaster. This place should not be in business; the chef should be sent back to training, but ultimately, the hotel's manager should be fired for gross dereliction of duty.
