Nice place located among other hundreds of restaurants. We came here by chance, just because a famous restaurant suggested by the Lonely Planet was crowded. Elegant atmosphere, kind staff, clean environment and excellent food, well presented. We had a steamed fish, a swat and sour chicken and fried shrimps. All very good

Red Snapper is an up market restaurant with live entertainment ( duo on vocals and guitar) with a âhappy hourâ (2 for1 drinks) and nice decor. On the evening we were the only people in the restaurant as we decided to eat relatively early so the service was impressive. The menu is split between Italian and Thai dishes and we opted for satay chicken to start (served spectacularly in a vertical presentation with satay side) which was delicious then a Pad Thai for me and chicken fried rice for my wife. Washed down with Singha beer and cocktails this was a great way to ease the tensions of night market shopping in Chaweng! We saw this restaurant and were intrigued. Swedish food in Thailand? How authentic could it be?Well, we have been to Sweden, and this was very authentic! The Swedish meatballs were great and came with the gravy on the side as requested. The pork schnitzel was also correct except for the roasted potatoes. IMHO, they should have been fingerlings.Great service, reasonable pricing.

I've heard about lots of nice things about the restaurant so decided to book the table for my hubby's birthday dinner.Many tables were set on the beach and lightly lit.The service was top notch and atmosphere was really romantic.We had beer, mango, papaya & coconut drink, mineral water, tom yam goong, crab cakes, fish cakes, fried noodle, cashew nuts chicken and jasmine rice. All the dishes were nicely presented and tasty, and we especially liked Tom yam goong and crab cakes the best.We wanted to order some desert, too, but could'nt. Main dishes were huge, so we could'nt finish them all. Maybe next time!Considering the level of service and atmosphere, the price was set rather reasonable. Visited gringos last night, the food was delicious! Really tasty salsas.We had two small beers and a litre of passion fruit margarita (tasted great!) A small nachos, a tostada and a burrito. It came to 1500 baht which is good value for quality food! - the owner was really friendly and staff were happy and attentive - would definitely recommend! We came here for cocktails after reading trip advisor reviews and we weren't let down. The best we have had since our stay in both Patong and Koh Samui. The cucumber bath was delicious, and my new fav! Staff were very attentive and helpful.Happy hour is a must. We had 12 cocktails for 1840 baht ($85 aud) - and they were well worth it. Highly recommend. Just had dinner here on our last night in Samui. We ordered the beef massaman, crispy sea bass with mango salad, and seafood coconut custard (a savoury dish).It's an extraordinary venue, great atmosphere with reasonable food prices for the location. Many others on this stretch of the beach are exorbitantly priced.The service from Pui was spot on and she was most helpful. Service was timely and the food came at the right temperature.The massaman was equal to the best we've ever had, ever. Delicate, rich, and made in the proper slow cooked fashion. It came with roti bread.The crispy fish was cooked well and tasted great, but the highlight of that dish was the amazing mango salad that came with it. It complemented the fish perfectly. Beware, the mango salad is spicy. The seafood coconut custard was most unusual, maybe not to everyone's liking, but we really enjoyed it. It was a version of a red curry and beautifully presented in the shell.Drinks were ok for the price. We had mojitos, and they weren't watered down. Very tasty.
