Opened and managed by the same family since 1957, la Taverne du Dauphin is considered to be an institution by all Casablancais. 4 generation of professionals have passed down their know-how and passion of fresh and authentic cuisine to propose one of the
We heard that this restaurant had excellent food. Our group had our last evening meal together at this restaurant and the overall experience was poor! The service was very slow! I ordered the steak and it was like rubber! The steak was supposed to have rice and vegetables, instead we got fries! At least one of the bread roll that was placed on our table had mold on it! I noticed it after eating some of it! We were supposed to get ice cream with our meal, instead we were given a fruit cup! Got with our tour leader and he took care of us getting ice cream! The wait staff were not very attentive and friendly! This place is not worth coming back too at all! The waiter were disorganized as well!Dear sir, thank you for your feedbacks. As you have mentioned, you were indeed part of a group of 35 people that day, who needed to be served at the same time (your tour operator has been trusting and working with us for many years and if a complain rises during the service, we take immediate actions to correct it, i.e the ice cream...).We apologize sincerely for this inconvenience if you find the service slow, however i would like you to consider that serving 35 people at the same time, it might not be as fast and effective as your expectations could have been for a smaller group. We are a fish and seafood specialty restaurant, we regret you didn't choose one of our specialty. We have a good selection of meat as part of our menu though. Indeed for some of you, the cooking was overcooked, but we took immediate actions to change the plates of the people not happy with the cooking. And regarding the vegetables and rice you are referring too, we didnt get unfortunately the right information from your travel agent, who prior to the venue, is always informing us about the guests' selection. This miscommunication impacted the service and our kitchen who needed to adapt quickly to some unexpected requests. We sincerely apologise once again for the inconvenient and will take the necessary actions accordingly.Just to finish, regarding the mold on the bread you are referring to, we have NEVER received this kind of complain before. We receive every day fresh bread 2 times a day, at 11:30am for the lunch service and at 5:30pm for the dinner service from one of the most famous bakery across the country. At the end of each service, we do NOT reuse any of the bread meant for the previous service, which is replaced by our supplier. I would have appreciated if you had a picture or if you could have shown us the bread in question during your visit, to be able to raise a complain to our supplier, but with whom we sincerely never had this kind of issue before. With regards,

Rick's Cafe Casablanca is a restaurant, bar and cafe located in the city of Casablanca, Morocco. Opened March 1, 2004, the place was designed to recreate the bar made famous by Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman in the movie classic Casablanca. Set in an
It was our last night in Morocco and I wanted to impress our group with a dinner at Rick's Cafe. Unfortunately the experience wasn't very positive for quite a few reasons:1. The restaurant accommodates many tour groups. Nothing wrong with that, but this created a different kind of environment that I didn't anticipate before hand. Also because of this, the chance of you getting a table without a reservation could be low. 2. It's noisy and chaotic at times (contributed at least partly from the above). You'd have many people walking around, taking pictures, chatting loudly, etc. I expected a nice and quiet ambiance with good piano playing, etc. Not like that.3. It's a smoking restaurant. I can't remember the last time I went to a smoking restaurant and this is definitely the only one in Morocco we came across. Doesn't matter how good the food is, if you sit next to a smoker and you don't like the smoke, you just can't hang around for too long.4. The reception process was unorganized. The restaurant opens for dinner at 6:30pm and a lot of people would be hanging outside the door prior to that. There was no line, no queue card given. At 6:30pm, staff would suddenly come out and ask tour groups to get in first, followed by people with reservation and then those without (like sitting at a bar).5. Photos with cell phones are allowed, but not with a camera, which I found it to be strange (as long as you are discrete, they should be treated the same). I didn't know this and took some pictures around my table and a staff noticed and approached to inform me with an unfriendly gesture (I thought he would confiscate my memory card). 6. Toilets are far and few. Only one mixed-gender toilet on the floor and another one two floor below. When you have many people waiting and the person was doing no. 2, this could be a pretty long wait.7. Food wasn't good. We ordered 3 dishes, the duck came out quite chewy and the assorted grilled veggie was so over-grilled we could only eat half of them. We first thought of getting some drinks after meal, but decided to just get the bill and leave. However, there were some positive experiences including:1. Service was good (though service charge was added automatically to the bill). 2. Food was not as expensive as we thought. 3. They handed out a postcard as a souvenir at the end, which was a nice touch.I believe when you are in Casablanca, you just have to visit Rick's Cafe for its sentimental value and I guess it'd be okay if you have the right expectation (not like us). If I were to advice a friend, I'd say just go there for a drink and see if you like to hang around or leave.

I was in this restaurant in October 2017, but I don't want to let the opportunity pass to express my fascination of this restaurant. We went there twice, both times in groups of about 5 people. The staff is beyond excellent and professional; never in my life have I encountered such service. We weren't sure what to order, so the waiter even brought us "mini versions" of the meals to try them for free. We ordered wine - it was a spectacle, as the waiter came with the entire wine cart and let us try various wines, to each, he was able to perfectly explain what he was pouring into our glasses. I personally found the food to be amazing. For me, I don't mind whether the restaurant is supposed to be Spanish, Italian or something else, as others may have commented. In the first visit, a friend of mine had to cry, and the waiter came with tissues without even asking and offered her a drink on the house. The restaurant also features live music; the singer is amazing and funny at the same time - he was singing only for himself, like the audience didn't exist - we all loved watching him sing in his little world. For Morocco, the prices may be on the steep side, but we didn't pay for just meals, we paid for an unforgettable experience. Thank you to Don Camillo restaurant for making our stay in Casablanca unforgettable! :)

We had a great meal in this excellent and attractive French restaurant. Everything was superb, including the service and the wine selection. Sweetbreads were particularly outstanding. We have had a variety of the Moroccan red wines and they are generally better quality than the European reds available in Morocco, so donât hesitate to try them. Restaurant is not particularly expensive, given itâs overall quality.

NKOA means Neo Kitchen Of Africa / America / Asia. Serving a fusion cuisine that delights the taste buds
The restaurant offers a lot of high quality fusion food, inspired by Asian, American and African cuisine. Because itâs our first day in Morocco, we have decided to order mostly African inspired food and drinks. They are delicious! Highly recommend the Chicken dish wrapped in a deep fried nest. There are some onions and sweetness in it. Very refreshing under the weather! The mocktails are great too. I would recommend the Hibiscus drink SOBOLO.
