Things to do in Can Tho
Just off the main drag in Can Tho is this little gem of a bar. Cool decor and even cooler music match a sophisticated cocktail menu. The drinks arenât necessarily inexpensive but they are beautifully made and well presented. A range of beers and other mixed drinks are available. This is a most welcome addition to the city and deserving of a couple of hours - ideal for adventurous drinkers. Excellent bar staff and a first class mixologist make this worthy of a big night out.

We were looking for a way to celebrate the end of our Vietnam trip and WOW, I so am glad I read about Azerai. We had our final dinner there before heading to Ho Chi Minh City and flying out, and it was one of the best meals of our entire trip. The hotel is on a small island in the river and they provide a boat transfer, so already the experience feels quite special from the start. It's only 5 minutes from the city centre but you feel worlds away. It's so peaceful and you really feel like you are in the Mekong Delta, not in the busy city. The menu has Vietnamese and some international dishes. I had the Vietnamese tasting menu which was delicious and the best way to say farewell to Vietnam. My boyfriend couldn't wait for western food so he had a burger with fries and I could see in his eyes how good it was. They also seem to have really great Indian dishes -- another table was having chicken tikka masala (they raved about it). I was surprised at how reasonable the prices were. I had been looking around at other Can Tho resorts and restaurants, and Azerai was the same price as one popular restaurant that was noisy, crammed full of tour groups and had no atmosphere. This was the perfect way to cap off our amazing trip.

The interior was nicely decorated and the price perhaps accordingly reflected its premium ambiance. The service however was a little slow even though there was only one or two other tables during the lunch service. The fresh spring rolls were uninspiring so nothing to shout about them. The stuffed pumpkin flower fritters in contrast were quite interesting and tasty; the meat inside was a nice touch. The grilled sea bass would be the highlight (though we are unsure if it actually was a sea bass or some other fish) - the sauce was amazing and the fish was quite quite fresh. The portion of rice for 20,000 dong was insanely large - more than enough for 3 people.

This place has nothing to do wit a "bar" as the fotos are definatly not taken of this place. It's a roof top where you can take a seat by buying something to drink downstairs at the reception. The view is ... well, not special. There are other places nicer than this one ...
