We have been coming to Sabores de Italia for since 2000, and have always felt it was something special. For several reasons we did not come for 5 years, and decided to visit today. Still the same good welcoming feeling, a very pleasant dining room with very comfortable seating, and a warm welcome from the owner. The menu has several very interesting choices, but we went for a pasta with veggies and the prawn puff pastry....both really delicious; we had started with a great capers salad (which was served already in 2 dishes). And despite other tantalizing dessert choices, I just had to go to the unique experience of the âFantasia de Pera Rochaâ; I still remembered how much I liked before, and how exquisite it really is. Great! To finish off, coffees come with sugar-covered orange skin.It really felt good to be back, and we will come again and again.Final note to the young and friendly staff. Although they still have to learn a bit, they sure look genuinely friendly and always trying to make your experience really good. Well done guys!We thank you very much for your kind visit and great evaluation. It is always a great honor to see and receive old and usual customers.

Weâve been here on many occasions and itâs true to say weâve never had a bad meal. Our favourite is the Chateaubriand for two which is served with vegetables, white asparagus and peaches! Of course excellent French fries accompany the dish. There are many appetisers to choose from but the restaurant give so many little treats before the main course weâve found it not necessary. The beef is cooked to perfection - I like my meat very rare and my husband less rare - they cook it so the outside is more cooked and the very center lovely and very rare. The service is very good and they canât do enough for you. Excellent desserts but sadly too often we are too full! Coffee and teas are served. Itâs a lovely dining room and the restaurant has a âspecialâ feel about it. I highly recommend A Lareira - itâs tucked away in a quiet location but well worth a visit.

This is a new cafe located right across the road from the main Caldas da Rainha bus terminal. Lots of coffee concoctions and lots of tea varieties (bags) to choose from. They do mainly sandwiches, salads, burgers, ice creams, milk shakes, cakes etc . (sort of a local Starbucks), but much better in my opinion. We enjoyed the 'Bacon Lovers' burgers! The buns were cold every time we ordered -- maybe throw them on the grill for a few seconds to heat them up? The chicken nuggets were in the oil for a bit too long -- they were burnt and not great tasting. They have free WiFi and good connectivity. If you walk in and see that all the seats in the front room are full -- they have a couple of rooms at the back too with extra seating. Some of the staff do speak English and those that do are very eager to try out their English skills. Reasonably priced and well worth a visit!!
