A nice relaxing Beach Bar and Restaurant with free sunbeds and beach huts overlooking the Atlantic ocean.
Hard to imagine this spot was rave reviews five weeks ago. Worth the walk past the closed and closing Senegambia eating spots turn sharp right, you find Monkey Park on your left, avoid the ticket bumsters and a steepish road down to an unspoiled beach opening. Swiss Tavern on the left with a terrace overview of a very close sea front.Only drinks at time of our visit but well worth the walk away from the concrete jungle just up the road. Take a towel no beach chairs down here.

This used to be our favourite restaurant in the area but over the last two years it has sadly declined beyond recognition. What was once a very busy restaurant in a prime position where it was difficult to get a table, is now nearly empty most of the time. The nice âgardenâ restaurant to the rear was also nearly empty whenever we passed. Sadly, unless they turn it around, we wonât visit again.

I have been coming to Gambia for a number of years with friends. On this occasion I was eating on my own and did not welcome the manager hugging me across the shoulder..too familiar for someone I've never met before.I ordered a chicken dish and the chicken was so tough I couldn't finish it.One place to avoid.

The restaurant of Leo's Beach Hotel offers drinks and food from 8am until 10pm in fantastic surroundings. With a beautiful view at the well-mentained garden and pool area you can enjoy high-quality, mediterranean delights. Fine dining at its best!
We stayed here so we ate in the restaurant most nights, food was great every night which is surprising in Gambia Fabulous Brazilian fillet steaks and great fish, great South African wines and the prices are very reasonable! We are going back next year

When we went to Poco Loco it was not to busy. The waiter came to us before we found a table and presented us the menu. Looking at the menu I saw broodje kroket, bitterballen en vlammetjes (typical Dutch snacks). When asking the owner if Poco Loca has a Dutch owner, he smiled and agreed. The burgers we eat were okee, nothing special about that. Maybe it's me, I was expecting something more special, more Gambia in the burger and/or bun.

The starter and desserts were good here, lovely venue but the main courses were just not cooked well, very burnt steak, even though medium requested and the fish dish was disappointing compared to other fish eaten at local restaurants

We dined here twice during our recent stay in The Gambia. The first time was very good ....great food, good service, extremely reasonable prices and a lovely sauvignon blanc for 550 dalasis. The 2nd time we dined here, service was good and the food seemed fine -- my wife had fish and chips and I had spaghetti bolognaise and I had a lovely apple crumble for dessert. However at about 4am, I started getting stomach cramps and severe problems with my digestive system..... I'll spare readers the details.I felt awful and problems continued right throughout the day and even now 3 days later, whilst much improved, am still not fully recovered.I can only put this down to the meal at this restaurant.....my wife was unaffected and apart from this meal, we had eaten the same food in the previous 24 hours.I am very sorry to post a negative review as it was one of our favourite eating places in Kololi and we have eaten here perhaps 5 times in 2previous visits to the Gambia.

Been to this restaurant before 5 years ago and were so pleased when it was still here. Food and drink order was taken quickly. Lots of choice on the menu. I had a steak and it was perfect. All the food came out at the same time. Quality was excellent. After we had finished we were given complimentary pineapple and water melon. A nice touch. Loved this restaurant last visit, loved it again. Would definitely recommend.

The previous positive reviews are 100% correct regarding this small restaurant situated on the busy main highway through Kololi. The restaurant has tables inside and outside in a small sectioned off part of the car park. This area has been tastefully laid out with large plants. The menu has selections of Gambian cuisine, steaks and fish dishes; there is a nice selection of starters and desserts. Cocktails are excellent and probably the best value in Kololi (200 dalasi or £3.30)The fish platter consisting of 4 various sorts of fish/shellfish was terrific at around 700 dalasi (£11), the lobster spring roll starters and lemon sole main course was very good at about the same price for both. Service is first class and swift. Loved it.
