My husband and I had dinner here on a quiet weekday evening. The sushi was great and we liked the general ambience of the bar/restaurant. Unfortunately, it rained quite heavily and our cabana leaked. Also both our main courses, seared tuna, were rather cold when they arrived and as there had been a reasonable wait for the food we chose not to complain. We did feel a little sorry for the waiter who was trying to run around and serve all the tables. Overall I think it is a fun concept and can imagine that it is a fab place for sushi on a warm, dry night out.

No, the #36 is not a room number but one should admit that it was clever naming our restaurant like this: it then becomes the natural extension of the 35 hotel rooms (hence the name!). Here, it's like in our rooms we relax, we rest, but thanks to the rest
We have spent a few days in an apartement next door, have eaten a few meals and got our share of drinks at the combined restaurant and bar. The food is good, creativly presented, and reasonably priced. Their Mystic mojito found its place high up on my list of cocktails to enjoy already on first attempt. The music choosen to follow the food and drinks is not my first choice, but then I am about to become a grumpy old man. Dear HaraldM538,Thank you very much for taking the time to write and share these few lines. It was a pleasure to receive you and to be at your service. We are delighted to read that you have enjoyed the kindness and our culinary offer. We have carefully taken note of your constructive comments and we will work on the improvements. We look forward to seeing you again soon.Culinarily Yours, The Management

Best Seafood food near Balaclava, Pamplemousses District, Mauritius
We came here for breakfast, lunch and evening meal whilst staying at the Maritim. The restaurant is part of the resort and as far as Iâm aware not open to non-residents. It is the only restaurant on the resort that is fully all inclusive. You can eat here for breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday. I thought Iâd get bored eating in the same restaurant but I did not. The choice of food is amazing. There is everything for every palate. The have the same core items everyday but have specials and theme items which change everyday. They hold theme nights such a Mauritian, Morrocan, Seafood etc. Most of the items are self service buffet style, but they do cook some items to order. All chilled food is kept covered and on ice to keep it cold and the hot food is kept covered on hot plates / bain maries, so it stays hot. The good thing about it being a buffet is that you can try a little of everything and maybe try food that you wouldnât normally try. My favourite lunchtime special was the vegetable pakoras. Now, they were more just slices of vegetable in plain batter but they were amazing. I could have eaten a whole plate full! Unfortunately as they were only a special, I think they were only available twice whilst we were there. The staff are always very attentive and helpful, especially the two young ladies who show you to your table. I would have given this 5 out of 5 but unfortunately they have one issue which I didnât like. As it is an open air restaurant they have a small issue with birds. If the staff saw them in the restaurant they would shoo them away but this wasnât always possible and on occasion youâd see them eating food off plates and counters that food was served on, including the utensils. Suprisingly this didnât put me off eating here and I overlooked it - eating here most of the week three times a day!

While named 180 Degrees, the restaurant provides visitors a 360° view of the open kitchen. Serving à la minute cuisine, this restaurant serves breakfast and dinner buffets that feature exotic local fare and wide-ranging International cuisine.
This is a first rate buffet for breakfast and evening meals. There is always a wide selection of food suited to most tastes and caters well for families. The seating are area is large so is rarely overcrowded. Themed buffets in the evening are well worth visiting and provide good value. If you want a quick snack it is the ideal place to go.

For many months we often passed this restaurant saying we would visit it one day.Why we waited so long is beyond me! Worth a visit - or ten.Sometimes you just have to order something that you can't get off the shop shelf - like freshly caught fish. We had a mix of fish dishes starting with smoked marlin to share, tuna steak and babonne (rock-cod). Then we finished with a really 'good-feel' coffee.Simple dishes - beautifully cooked - certainly ranks up there with the best. The service and staff were absolutely delightful - you will be humbled by the extraordinary mannerisms - true 'old style' hospitality. I am glad there are still restaurant staff who pay attention to their customers in a gentle, respectful and informative way.I will be back!

Great little place, run by a South African family. I had one of the best burgers ever. The "chef Joe burger" was absolutelly excellent: chicken, bacon, double cheese, steak, some lettuce, onion and sauce on a nice crispy bun prepared to perfection. Really awesome taste and a nice experience because of the cosy atmosphere and friendly staff.

Our group, consisting of two couples, considered this restaurant to be even better than the Kangan, Mystique and Fish Grill restaurants we sampled. The selections varied daily and we never got tired of the cuisine even after a lengthy stay of 18 days. Staff were exceptionally charming and helpful at all times.

The main restaurant of the resort, with choice of seating indoor or outdoor in the garden, on the pool deck, or under the kiosk, serves refined Asian fusion cuisine, as well as local and international delights for both breakfast and dinner.
I have gluten free allergy and I stayed in Angsana with my husband for 10 days. The men changed everyday, offering typical meals but also French, Italian, Japanese, Asian, International cuisine. I have gluten free allergy and the chefs went above and beyond to make sure I was eating something different every day! The pastry chef was preparing something special for me every breakfast and dinner and the chefs were very careful with my allergy and I had amazing meals every day! Thank you to the amazing service too, everyone was lovely and welcoming from start to finish.

We enjoyed many lovely meals at La Maree, and was really a major reason to return to the Maritim for a second time, it really is a lovely experience, beautiful setting, very friendly staff, very good service, lovely food, generally very good choices on AI, Vegetarian choices at lunch could be better.
