This wonderful little restaurant is a ten minute taxi ride from the center. It is without a doubt the best restaurant in Jambi. The restaurant features pindang ikan, a stewed fish typical of South Sumatra. This is of course only one of a great variety of dishes served at Bi Cik, all of which are sensational. I came to know the restaurant because it was the site of the official conference dinner for the Nineteenth International Symposium on Malay/Indonesian Linguistics. I was skeptical because most of the food I had eaten in Jambi was less than excellent, but the food at Bi' Cik is as good as it gets in Indonesia. See https://www.facebook.com/pages/Warung-pindang-bi-cik/609114375843426 for additional reviews and comments. Please be aware. This is not a fancy restaurant. It is a simple place for everyday people who do not have any money to waste. It is comfortable, but it is a large warung, in a sense the outgrowth of a successful food stall. It does not have the atmosphere of a restaurant in a hotel or a shopping center. It is clean and pleasant. While I probably wouldn't come to Jambi in order to eat here, I wouldn't come to Jambi without eating here.

everytime i visited Jambi, I always manage to eat "pempek" from this restaurant. The taste of pempek and cuka (pempek's sauce) is so good. I always buy a large box of Pempek who contained 250 pieces of pempek for bringing back to Jakarta.
Restaurant well known by locals and it was consistently recommended by any locals who we asked. It serves the famous local Jambi âpindangâ which can be either beef (ribs) or fish. Please order this when you are there as it doesnât disappoint!Service is quite good, we didnt have to wait long for the food.

Been coming here regularly for over a year. Nice place, mostly western fare (burgers, etc.) but also Asian dishes (Indonesian, Thai). Good croissants, cakes, good coffee (a free cafe latte with food orders-if I reember well). Friendly and attentive service. Affiliated with the Dine & Chat restaurants in Jambi. Can be a bit noisy.

Loved the pindang baung and pindang patin, very tasty, sweet, sour and spicy. For other food its taste ordinary. The price is expensive, and we had to wait very long for the food (approx 30min). The place is big so we can get our table easily.

I came to this restaurant because i stay in Swiss Bell hotel across. This restaurant offer Western and Indonesian food. The ambiance is OK, the taste is OK and the price is decent as well. In same restaurant, they have a section to sell nice dessert as well. It is a good place to bring friend, family or business partner as well.

Our guests enjoyed their lunch here. Good food and a wide variety (23 dishes, Padang style) served. The restaurant is clean (so is the toilet). I like the fried fish and fried eggs. There are also few choices of spicy food. Non air conditioning and be prepared to sweat while enjoying the food. Fair price..for eight of us cost Rp 500+ plus drinks...
