The beaches around the area offer vibrant undersea life, drawing scuba enthusiasts and snorkelers from around the world. Above ground the gold-domed Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque dazzles with its intricate marble design and museums provide ample cultural stimulation.

Enjoyed a nice Indonesian-style meal here with a friend at a VERY reasonable price. The grilled beef was delicious, as was the grilled chicken. Both served with what we think were very tasty deep-fried tofu triangles. We accompanied these dishes with rice. My Turkish friend remarked the presentation is very nicely arranged on banana leaves over wooden bowls. The counter staff were very friendly and pleasant. Overall a nice dining experience and we ate Korean soft ice cream with honeycomb for dessert next door at Hippo & Bees.

Bandar Seri Begawan Food Guide: 10 Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Bandar Seri Begawan

This waterfront buffet style restaurant provides considerable range of traditional and typical daily Brunei food which are influenced by Malaysian and Singaporean cuisines. There are plenty choices of both rice and noodle based dishes, and desserts at reasonable price 15 Brunei dollars per person. The dining room is clean, specious and with beautiful view of bridge, mountains, Brunei river and water villages. Should visit tis place as you have the convenience of sampling many dishes at one dinning place with a reasonable price. Don't forget to try one traditional and unique Brunei dish called Ambuyat (sticky and plain palm paste wraps around bamboo stick then dips into different kind of sauces of your choices, including durian sauce!) and take some pictures or videos while the cook is preparing the dish for you.

There seems to be two very divergent opinions about "street food" : eat it at your peril, because of poor hygienic preparation; and the opposite: it is delicious; go for it! We arrived in in BSB in the middle of a downpour, and asked the friendly lady at our hotel (Capital Residence Suites) for supper suggestions. She counselled us to go to Tamu Selera in the hotel shuttle bus, which could drop us off, and pick us up an hour later. We accepted her suggestion, found a stall with food all ready to be eaten, and had a feast, with no bad repercussions to our digestive systems.

Recommended in the Lonely Planet guide to Brunei, we travelled a fair distance to eat supper here. It was well worth it: the food was delicious, and the servings copious. Pleasant wait staff.A movie screen even showed a James Bond movie. I heard that kissing was censored in Brunei, but this movie showed kissing. Maybe bootlegged? What marred the evening was the fact that they appear to have disabled their credit card reader; it rejected THREE different credit cards! Why not just say that they wanted to be paid in cash?

Won't be there anymore as nothing special with the food. The food not even nice or good but just normal, not worth to visit again to pay for expensive but so-so food. Visited during lunch hour, even not so packed, but service so slow, and food took quite a while to served and wrong food served.
