Great old building creates a good atmosphere. the service was good at the start and the food as normal is very good. It was a shame that the service for desert was much longer than usual as they busy! Otherwise it would have been a five.

In the advice of a friend we came here, great menu with some dishes Iâve not heard of before. Whilst talking to all 5 of us the waiter assessed our curry preferences and suggested dishes accordingly. None of us were disappointed, it even impressed me! It was a friends birthday so the Happy Birthday serenade was spot on! Thanks guys!

Decided to try this restaurant again after six months to see if things had improved. Food still dry, and still trying to run restaurant with too few waiting staff. Food took too long and could not catch anyoneâs eye for service. Wonât be going here again.

The power of a prince and the splendour of noble dining. In a lustrous haze of burnished gold, the royal crown sits on high, a potent symbol in every age and civilisation. To this day, the regal insignia endures as a gilt edged hallmark of unrivalled qual
My husband and I decided to try this restaurant as friends had recommended it. The restaurant setting is very relaxing, not rushed and staff were polite. Food was superb. Very fresh, flavorsome and beautifully served. I can quite honestly say that this was the best curry we have had in a very long time. Reasonably priced, only gripe for my husband would be that they had no beer on draught, so he had a bottle of kingfisher instead. We had, shaslick chicken, chicken dopiaza, plain rice, cauliflower bahjee and a Keema nan. We will definitely be returning, if youâre thinking of trying this restaurant, itâs a must!

Our third time there, freezing cold, order was wrong. The food was spicy; all three tasted the same. We couldn't tell the difference between a prawn and a lamb dish!.. The soft drinks are very expensive. £450 for a coke!

Have driven past this restaurant many times, after getting a leaflet through the door finally decided to give it a try. It was the best Indian meal and the best service Iâve experienced in a long time. Very friendly and attentive waiters, very flexible with their Tuesday night banquet letting us swap side dishes for starters. Everyone thought the food was fantastic and generous portions. It was getting very busy by the time we left so probably a good idea to book for the Tuesday night special.

Had not realised the good value Sunday night deal they have here. No wonder you have to book. Lots of happy people enjoying the food. Moss special is my favourite. Lots of Cobra drunk.+Thanks

The Spice Cottage is fantastic. My husband and I have travelled all over the world and we are very fussy about our food. This curry house is spot -on. We have consistently had lovely food from here. I can honestly say I have never eaten a bad take-away from here. The staff are always lovely and nothing is too much for them. However, it wouldn't eat there - as the takeaway decor leaves a lot to be desired.
