Things to do in Stanford-Le-Hope
Tried this tonight as something new to the area and just say it was excellent. I had trouble ordering onion bhaji but found them under starter. We ate vegetarian dishes which were hot and tasty and overall excellent quality
Never been to the restaurant, but the takeaway me and my partner just received was utterly dreadful! Food arrived quick which I cannot complain about, although the quality of the food was awful. Would rather wait an extra twenty minutes for decent tasting food. Curry was bland and tasteless, and starters and naan bread were stone cold! Such a waste of £35 and would not recommend this to anyone. If I was in the restaurant I would of demanded my money back.

New delhi restaurant grays, established since 1994an adventure in indian cusine. A warm welcome awaits you at new delhi restaurant. Our modern and stylish restaurant offer the very best in dining quality cuisine and facilities for all special occasions ,
We arrived at this restaurant at 22.10 we hadn't booked there was no need to as virtually only 6 other people in there dining, when we walked in we were greeted with 'you will have to be quick as we close in an hour' there was no hello or warmth, we were quickly shown to a table and the menu was pushed under our noses with no customer service. I won't babble on too much, the food arrived in 5 mins, hovering around us to take the plates when I was still eating, Bill placed in front of me while I was still eating, food OK but will not be visiting again rushed out the door, went up the road to the raj for a drink wonderful service.Hi Susan SWe are very sorry. At New Delhi Restaurant , we aim to offer good quality food with excellent service , but it seems we did not achieve this with yourself. We can only apologies for this time . This is a fairly new estalishment, that has taken over a former pub, called The Orsett Cock.
Visited for my wedding anniversary with family. The entire evening was excellent. Very tastefully decorated interior. The food was delivered promptly and courteously. If you needed anything you simply use your pager on the table and the staff were there. The Shashlick Masala was excellent along was the Tikka Masala. The portions were generous and not expensive. £100 for 4 including 2 rounds of drinks. Must try

Went with a group, food lovely and no complaints. However, on checking the bill discovered that a charge of 75p per container was added to take the food away in containers that didnât get eaten. Really shocked and queried but advised was correct. Would have left a nice tip but didnât as peeved me. Unaware of any other Indian in area that does this.

With the wide choice of curry houses around the area the fact that our family and friends have been eating here for two decades says it all. Not sure why we havenât left a review before !We have just had a large party of us enjoy the Kurzi Lamb special . This does require at least 24 notice to ensure it is properly prepared. It is not a budget dish but great for a special occasion. So much food that some of it is now in our freezer!Standard meals are every bit as good

We have been proudly serving quality Indian food for 30 years. Quantity, quality and value for money is our motto.
Visited this time only because my daughter asked to do it as a memory of her childhood. In the past, before my wife died, we were regulars at this restaurant, itâs been a rollercoaster experience, sometimes superb sometimes only ok.Recent experience suggests a restaurant that has partly lost its way. To its credit, itâs got far busier than it used to be, against, itâs lost a bit of its focus upon customer service. After nearly 1400 reviews on TA, plus submitting reviews for the good food guide and to Hardens, I consider myself a reasonable judge of the total restaurant experience. On the plus side the food is generally good, sometimes exceptional. Space between tables and the size of the tables with the number of things served is debatable. Staff are very busy when the restaurant is full thus customer service does diminish. They have had a couple of times when their card machine has failed, one wonders if they should invest in another one as itâs somewhat key to the business.Occasionally one does feel as a take away customer itâs not easy to get served as the phone is almost constantly ringing, which does lead to customer frustration. My last take away my partner insisted on going in whilst I waited in the car so she could pay.A restaurant in Grays serving similar cuisine, handles their popularity better and would be a good role model for this venue.Sadly this is a repost of my last review as the owners sonâs response was wholly inaccurate and accusatory. Itâs virtually impossible to offer feedback at the time as staff are so rushed it took a while to get the bill never mind have time to talk to anyone about suggestions.Toilets were clean, service was ok but clearly volume is putting pressure on the infrastructure that they need to focus on rather than demean legitimate assessments of customers albeit sadly now marginalised customers. My use of this restaurant, I assume predates the next generations involvement, as I had been going on and off for the full life of the venue.Shame

Went for dinner on Sunday evening but left very disappointed. The restaurant was cold on arrival and there was a party with young children who were running around the restaurant out of control and were very noisy. After taking our order there was a long wait for our mains to be served, take aways seemed to take priority! When the mains were served the chicken was chewy and hard, the restaurant did take one mains off the bill though. We asked for a booth table further away from the noisy party but were told the table was reserved only for it to be free the rest of the evening!Overall a very disappointing evening and as a result will not be returning. Not one to recommend.....

An authentic Indian restaurant in the Basildon town centre serving lovely delicacies from across India. We offer Thali (a four course meal, a feast of multiple small dishes) during lunch time, and are Indian street food specialist. Our Thali is a complete
We came here with our 2 kids after reading some excellent reviews on trip advisor & we wasnât disappointed! The restaurant itself is very like a laid back chilled cafe vibe which we love! The menu isnât your typical Indian menu as people would know! There are some same dishes though! But it was a varied menu for all tastes with authentic flavours! Our kids had the butter chicken & loved it my daughter said it was the best butter chicken sheâs ever had I could of tried quite a lot of the starters as they all sounded nice! For main we had the tandoori mix grill and was beautiful, it was very well cooked with lots of yummy flavour! We also had a medium spiced chicken curry (canât remember the name) which was also very nice with lots of flavour but was just a bit too spicy for me although I still ate it as it tasted lovely! it was my own fault as I should of asked for it to not be too hot! The naan breads were one of the best Weâve ever tasted the service was brilliant & friendly! We will definitely be coming back! Thanks very much for providing the feedback. Glad kids equally loved their meal; happy little ones equate to happy parents! We look forward to welcome you back soon, and big cheers for spreading the word about our flavoursome food and service.

Love this restaurant, love the quality and taste of the food. Service sometimes a little slow. The only thing that is a little discerning is that where as we use to go every couple of weeks it's got very expensive and I hope that this isn't going to be their downfall.
