So if you talk about the service, it's bad. I would rather say it's even rude sometimes. They charge like a very good restaurant but neither the ambiance nor the food is worth mentioning. There's good woodwork on the ceiling but that's about it. Seats aren't comfortable and the table was dirty as well.
The Red Capsicum is a nice clean restaurant enroute to Shimla from Chandigarh on outskirts of Solan town. The place has a clean washroom and seating is decent. Interiors are very basic but clean. Food quality and taste is good. Their Cold coffee with ice cream and hot maggi is yummy. They accept credit card as well. Good place to take a break while travelling to Shimla.
while travelling from shimla to manali, we came across this small dhaba cum restaurant. the onion and aloo paratha were two good. served with curd, it is a must try and a must halt place for every traveller. it comes after a two hour journey from shimla. their dal makhani was also very nice. toilet facility is available and a medical store is also attached to this restaurant. overall, very nice restaurant.
This place is the oldest coffe house of solan and this is the only place where we used to get a good south indian food, with time things have changed but this place embarks its presence as it is, it is a family and friends place to hangout.
Aao-ji restaurant brings you a taste of vegetarian Mughlai Indian cuisine with specialty in Himachali mughlai and Punjabi mughlai and much more food items collected from various parts of India and brought on a platter on the footsteps of himalayan ranges
Aao Ji is one place that one cannot miss while travelling from Chandigarh to Shimla. Though everything I had was delicious, but, I just loved the "Stuffed Golgappe". i have never tasted such tasted golgappe ever before.

This eatery is located at the Barog bus stand and serves delicious paranthas of varieties. As to be expected the paranthas are heavy, oily, stuffed and delicious. Forget the calories and enjoy them. It is pure veg restaurant and also serves tea, lassi, rajmah rice etc.
Dine with us for plateful of safe and yummy meals. "Uplifting and Stuffed" - you will never get enough of the warm hugs of the comfort food, from Full Chow. Hurry Up! Dig-in for Veg or Non Veg Sumptuous Meals.
Pasta with Italian flavour into the Himalayas was the wonderful experience at Full Chow. I recommend this place to all the foodie and adventurous people as it is located at beautiful location. There are hidden tourist attractions nearby which are best to explore like Jatoli temple, Daghsai Old central jail, Ashwani Khad
The city had an old world charm but is now lost to over-crowding, lack of infrastructure and is unable to support the high influx of tourists from nearby cities (most with very poor Civic sense) resulting in pressure on the hills and resources. Unauthorized construction adds to the chaos and the hills have been ruthlessly desecrated. Was once a nice hill station but now would not recommend a visit in busy season.
