We'd heard good reports about Chillies but had been using another local restaurant which safly went rapidly downhill after a change of ownership. So, takeaway booked and collected. YUM what a feast! Lovely, fresh tasting food which we all thoroughly enjoyed. Was a bit surprised at the very red food-coloured tikka chicken which felt quite old school, but it was nice and juicy and perfectly cooked.Overall an excellent, tasty and good value meal. We have found our new home for curries

Authentic Indian cuisine
The Thursday night banquet @ £11.95 p.p.remains first and "primus inter pares" amongst the Bagladeshi/Indian restaurants in Clevedon for giving good value for money. There is an extensive choice on the menu, it's a comfortable place to find and the service is usually good.

We have visited this evening for my son's 10th birthday.I had heard good reviews from other locals but never been..we have had a really good experience and mainly down to such great and super friendly service from the owner. It is rare that people really go out their way to make a real effort with customers and make them feel so welcome. He was really kind to my son even bringing out a cake and singing..what a lovely thing to do.We all really enjoyed our food..my older son had a chicken tikka madras which he said was amazing.. We will definately be recommending and returning..it felt really welcoming and that the owner genuinely cared about great customer service.. he went the extra mile and it was really appreciated along with the delicious food..

We are Urban Tandoor sister restaurant, the pioneers of Indian food in Bristol. We offer an enjoyable, memorable dining experience. Visit us for delicious Indian cuisines, exciting interiors and stylish hospitality.
Firstly, the food. Itâs no wonder theyâve won so many awards so soon. This is really delicate, exquisite Indian cuisine, with a great range to suit pretty much anyone. Secondly, the service. I have not felt so well served and so comfortable in a restaurant for ages, and I travel a lot for work. You leave feeling like old friends. Finally, itâs great value for the offering. The portions are generous but not excessive, and the dishes are nicely presented in a modern, bright style. Iâm making this a regular stop for any visit to Bristol and highly recommend it to anyone who likes this cuisine.Dear Guest,We thank you for taking time off to write this review for Urban Masala. In Indian Rassasy we brings you the real taste of India with our experienced and qualified chefs. The restaurant provides the food according to the taste bud of the guest.
Thursday night visit in late October yet the place was still busy - but busy in a good way; enough diners to make an atmosphere but not too many to impact the service quality. The waiter explained the menu as it is not your standard fare and helped us choose both a vegetarian meal and something for one of the party who 'likes it hot'. Food was great with each dish tasting completely different; again a huge step away from the predictable protein + generic sauce option that some Indian restaurants like to churn out. Portions were decent sized and the bill pleasantly reasonable. Really liked the character of the place and have already recommended to a number of friends.

A small restaurant located in the centre of Congresbury, first impressions werenât great with a £5 deposit per head having to be paid in person for the booking. I get that thereâs a real problem with âno showsâ and completely understand that restaurants need to do this, which is fine, but they need to make it easier for those deposits to be paid, e.g.; over the phone. Itâs fine for anyone local who can easily pop in, but useless if youâre travelling from different directions and just using it as a central meeting point, or even travelling from further afield just to try it.Drinks choice was disappointing with no Cobra being available. I appreciate that a small restaurant may not have enough turnover to keep both that and Kingfisher on tap, but I donât recall any other Indian where itâs not at least available bottled. Service seemed a bit haphazard with us having to get their attention just to order poppadumâs, when other places would normally ask about this when doing the drinks order. We had 16 between us, and yet only had one tray of pickles which seemed rather inadequate. To be fair, when we asked for another, they did say that they were going to refill it anyway when we had eaten the first lot, but it would been far better to have supplied two to start with, even just for ease of sharing between us. The menu offered an extensive selection and included all the usual staples, as well as plenty of âTandoori specialitiesâ, âSignature dishesâ, âHouse specialitiesâ and âKismet specialitiesâ. Quite what the difference is between the last three categories was rather lost on me. From previous experience their spice level is a notch or two up from many places, and I have found my usual go-to Patia to be far too hot, and a couple of the other diners at our table also remarked on this when their food was served. I thus went for a Chicken Tikka Balti which was a tasty dish and a decent size portion served in a thick and rich sauce. The only downside was really the chicken which had a curious, almost rubbery texture. I presume it is processed and reformed in some way rather than being proper breast meat. The accompanying pilau rice and garlic naan were also both pretty good, with the naan especially being a good texture and very tasty.Overall I thought this was decent enough and Iâd happily return, but they do need to make a few tweaks to really get the best out of it.

Came here after reading the reviews of Trip Advisor. We werenât disappointed! The food was fabulous and staff were friendly and really welcoming... even gifting me a Buckâs Fizz for lending a phone charger to another customer! The food was delicious and had an excellent choice for vegetarians. We ordered Kadai Panner, Dal Makhini with rice and nann and finished off with Rasamalai (despite being stuffed... because we wanted to try it!) all were cooked to perfection and are highly recommended. We will definitely be back when we are in Bristol. Booking recommended via email or Phone! Dear Guest,Thank you very much for your words of recommendation and appreciation for the healthy Indian food and the service at Urban Tandoor. We are glad to know that the TripAdvisor reviews helped you to make your choice and you were not disappointed. Having seen all the great reviews, I can say it lives up to the expectations. A friendly welcome greeted us, as did a fantastic selection of cocktails (which were just as tasty and interesting as they sounded). A large selection of both Indian street food and more âstandardâ Indian dishes, with lots of options for vegetarians and those with gluten intolerance. The food itself packed a punch, with the perfect combination of spices and cooked to perfection. Such variety as well made for a really interesting tapas style meal, great for couples to big parties. Whilst we did need a number of small dishes to fill ourselves which brought the price to a little higher than weâd expected from the good value individual dishes, we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening and would highly recommend.
