It is a suburb in the San Francisco Bay Area located about 25 miles (40 km) east of Oakland, and 6 miles (9.7 km) west of Livermore. The population was 70,285 at the 2010 census. In 2005 and 2007, Pleasanton was ranked the wealthiest middle-sized city in the United States by the Census Bureau. Pleasanton is home to the headquarters of Workday, Ellie Mae, Roche Molecular Diagnostics, Blackhawk Network Holdings, and Veeva Systems. Other major employers include Kaiser Permanente, Safeway, Oracle, Nordstrom and Macy's. Although Oakland is the Alameda County seat, a few county offices and a courthouse are located in Pleasanton. The Alameda County Fairgrounds are located in Pleasanton, where the county fair is held during the last week of June and the first week of July. Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park is located on the west side of town.

We ordered a carry out as we heard about this new place. The reviews were very good, and we were not disappointed either. The egg biryani and chilly paneer were very tasty, and you could smell the ghee too. Would love to go back again.

This is a small restaurant serving tasty food with good service. All the dishes were good with large portions. The naans were fresh and well-made. The main entrees were tasty too. This is definitely one of the top choices for Indian food in Pleasanton.

Artisan pizzas have never been better. We not only create great fusion pizzas but our traditional pizzas are worth trying. "All you can eat pizzas" on Wednesdays 5-9 PM where we serve many of our specialty pizzas and our new creations. NAMASTE!

My experience was nothing but exceptional. I came here on a wednesday for their all you can eat buffet and tried 4-5 different pizzas and let me tell you that Chilifornia was spicy, but super flavorful!. Super courteous staff. 10 dollar price point! I highly recommend this place to all when you are in town! Keep it up Namaste!

Saravanna Bhavan continues to excel and set the standard for authentic South Indian cuisine. However, Sri Venkatesh Bhavan is breathing down their neck. Everything is just a couple of notches better at Saravanna. However, service is far better here. Good value for money.

India Garden is my personal favorite restaurant to go for lunch in Pleasanton. Iâve been coming here for years and theyâve been consistently good and satisfying. For lunch buffet (about $10 pp) you get a lot of choices and theyâre all delicious, from the butter chicken/lamb to tandoori fish to desserts and free chai tea. I would go more if I werenât so fat already, because I tend to overeat there as everything tastes so good. Alas thereâs no buffet for dinner.Ambience wise, it is intimate and cozy, unlike the utilitarian Indian restaurants that are popping up all over our town these days. I believe this used to be a French restaurant, and it has maintained its charm, complete with beautiful geraniums in its window boxes. Inside is decorated with gorgeous Indian arts and fabrics, and with soft Indian music. I love it here.

This restaurant is located smack dab in the middle of Pleasanton Downtown and has good ambience. The service is also decent and the food is mostly ok. The food has been altered to suit the taste buds of non-Indians (not as spicy) and is super pricey (maybe because of its location). It is worth trying but there are a lot more choices in Pleasanton and Bay Area if you are looking for authentic Indian food.
