TALKING TABLES sets the standard for an elevated INDIAN dining experience for locals. The cuisine is a contemporary interpretation of the classic INDIAN cooking and committed to preserve the identity of the authentic culinary adventure. The menu is divers
From the outside this place does not look like much, however their food is authentic and tasty. We ordered the butter chicken and the chicken korma and both dishes were delicious. Service was also good! I highly recommend going to the restaurant and sitting down for a meal, as opposed to ordering take out.

Visited Cooks Castle on a Monday night with an Indian mate; the restaurant has a low key authentic feel to it, only a small number of tables but also has outside dining. The food was very tasty (my Indian mate was able to talk to the chef about his preferred style) and reasonably priced, with very friendly service to boot.
Where to eat Bar food in Penrith: The Best Restaurants and Bars

We've been trying to find a decent Indian restaurant since we moved to Penrith, without success, until now. We ate a lot of Indian meals in London, so know what we like. Everyone told us that Tamleni was the best in the area, so we thought we'd try it when our friends were over from London. I have to say the food was pretty good, although my husband who LOVES onion bajiis was very disappointed in their version... nothing like his favourites. All the other dishes were lovely, and our friend even asked for extra chilli in his dish, and was surprised that it was made nice and spicy, just how he likes it. I do have a moan though. The place was far too noisy! It was a Saturday night, although quite early, and fairly busy, although not packed out, and the sound just seemed to echo round, making people speak louder and louder. I think we may try again when we think it will be less busy, or order a takeaway.... we like to chat over our food, not shout at each other. Not sure what they can do about the accoustics! Will definitely try again though.

Called into this restaurant on a friends recommendation as we both enjoy good Indian food. We will be back !! Only open for dinner and certainly a delicious meal was enjoyed by the three of us. Our standard dish of butter chicken was delightful and we usually combine it with something else on the menu with some garlic Nhan thrown in. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys Indian meals with good old fashioned service. Well done
