We enjoyed all the food we ordered, both starters and main courses were excellent. The interior of the restaurant was very nice although it is located in a building that I assume was once an office. We were given a booth which had plenty of space for 4 adults. All staff were very friendly and we felt that we got value for money. Service could possibly have been faster when we first arrived but no complaints once we had ordered. It was a Saturday night and the restaurant was busy when we left around 7:30.

Pity They Only Do Takeaways !
well ordered two different dishes.....my chicken, well sauce was almost curdled, quite unpalatable, other mixed meat dish...well, difficult to tell difference between chicken and prawn, and well neither of us could chew the lamb, even the dog had difficulty!!!!seemed to be low on staff on the night Anyway will be a carry out from now on we will not be going back to ..... better going a few doors up to the kebab shop..... far better quality

Small menu but boy everything is tasty. We were given complimentary starters which were fish and banana bhaji type dish (2 of my hates in the food groups) but I did try it and ended up eating every bite, it was delicious and it is something i would not have considered eating in a million years, so a convert there.Best onion bhajis I have ever had in an indian they were so light and tasty, hubby had chilli chicken starter really lovely and very spicy. I tried the chicken chetinaad, hubby had madras, both really gorgeous and full of spices and flavour. Small wine list but they stock red from Chile so delighted with that. Our only complaint is about the layout, a couple of the tables are literally right next to the bar which is where the waiter/waitresses stand so not much privacy. Ambience could be better, but highly recommend the food and the service as both waiter and waitress very friendly. Was expecting just another curry night out but it is way better than both The Nosheen and Nazma. Most people who ate there also took left overs home. Good value meal.

We were introduced to this hidden gem of an Indian by a neighbour when we moved to the area back in 2013. Prior to this had never heard of it - or Kinmuck for that matter! This is an excellent, family run restaurant with an exceptionally thought out menu to not only consider those who have a taste for a classic curry but also those who are always open to newer tastes or specialities. We have dined in and ordered take out and have never been let down by the quality of the food or the service provided by the husband and wife team at Front of House. My new favourite Indian restaurant!Highly recommended.

We had a take away from The Rajpoot in Inverurie on the recommendation of family we were staying with in the area. The food was good it was prepared on time and everyone enjoyed their meals. Only reason we have only given a four was we felt it was a bit overpriced.

'SD' is an national award winning, fine dining Indian restaurant comfortably accommodating around 50 guests. Featuring traditional, perfectly spiced food through to modern Indian cooking, the menu like the interior design captures the essence of India whi
I visited the restaurant on a Saturday night with family and although we all enjoyed the food the service was very slow. On a couple of occasions we had to ask waiting staff to take our order following a lengthy wait between courses which left us 0exposed to our other issue for longer than we would have liked, our other issue was the noise. Sitting behind us at the back of the room there was a table with several adults and children who were making so much noise that it was very difficult for us to have a conversation and there were a couple occasions where children were running back and forth to the toilet creating unnecessary noise. The slow service we can tolerate if the food is good but the noise not being dealt with will deter us from going back.

We plumped for this restaurant without checking out any reviews somdidnt know what to expect. It was a Wednesday and just after 5pm sonee were the first in and greeted warmly by a young chap who showed us to our table. We ordered drinks which came along with complimentary popadoms and dips. The food was ordered and when it came it was served by an Indian(?) gent. He took time to explain that the South Indian Korma that my girlfriend had order wasn't like a normal korma. It was less sweet and more like a korma they would have at home. Spicy but not hot. He then offered that if she didnt like it they would exchange it.There was no need as she said it was one of the best curries she'd ever had.My own dish was very good with tender lamb which needed no knife to cut it, a fork was enough.Service was attentive without being intrusive and the personal touch was pleasant. We'll definitely visit again.
