Wine Bar & Restaurant, serving authentic Indian cuisine. Wide selection of wines served by the glass. Bar snacks available together with full Take Away menu. On Sundays a traditional Thali is served from 1.30pm with last orders at 7.30pm.
The restaurant is really lovely and when we went there was a good atmosphere. The staff were delightful and service good .However, the main courses were a bit mixed in quality and content. The side dishes were disappointing - the tarka dhal was very runny. The saag aloo was all runny spinach and hardly any potato - nothing like the usual chunky and drier one i am used to.Dear Lipsticklover We are grateful for the feed back and comments , All customer feed back is very important .We will check and look into the dishes with the chef ; Please if you could send us some more details as to when and which day you dined it would help us in rectifying any issues that could have happened. Please email us on [email protected]

A warm welcome to Red India. We are open every evening from 5.30Pm-11pm. Please note we do not sell wines or spirits so you are able to bring your own wine and ales. On arrival you will notice you are in dining heaven! Expect the full red carpet treatment
This is my second visit to this restaurant. The first time was excellent food and this tile the standard was equally high. Very well done guys. You know I like the fresh green chillies with my food and you remembered exactly what I like and so I am impressed. To remember such details means that I was a nightmare customer or a friendly and memorable guy... I hope the latter is true. This restaurant is well worth a try and I would recommend it.

Small restaurant; also a takeaway. I have been coming here for years with my family and the quality of food and service is consistently of a high standard. It's always good value, definitely deserves being listed!
Iâve been here many times over the years, and Iâve always enjoyed the old-school curry-house ambience, and the timeless offerings from the huge menu. But my most recent visit was a little disappointing, with cold service, slightly measly portions (more onion than meat; less accompanying salad), and truly terrible âchutneysâ served with the (OKish) poppadums. Prices here do remain very low for food and for drinks; but Iâd gladly have spent another pound for each dish and had better quality and quantity. And friendlier service would have helped, too. But it is definitely still worth a visit if youâre in the area; and - although I rarely take any notice of such things â the toilets here are remarkable for their tidiness and their cleanliness.

We have recently moved to Oakham and have been trying out all the eating places in town. This was our first visit to Dining Street. Ambience and service were first class and all of the food we had was extremely tasty and well presented. The staff were also very helpful to explain the menu. As they do not sell alcohol you take your own drinks and an ice bucket for the wine was supplied together with appropriate glasses. Altogether a very pleasant experience and to be recommended.
We had a takeaway but you can eat in too. They do deliveries. Very big portions and much better quality than you usually get from takeaways. Excellent Vege korma, Dal and bhajis. Chicken tikka was delicious as we're various rice. The Madras was properly hot! Lots of vegetarian options. Prices very reasonable for portion size. We'll definitely use them again.
