We eat at Indian places a lot and the first thing I look for is homemade garlic naan. This place looks tired and run down but the food we ordered was fabulous. Service was spotty with 2 gals running the whole place but the chef knows what he is doing. I had garlic naan, butter chicken and rice and my wife had the basa, a Mekong style catfish that she raved about and I know my wife is picky.

Food is good, fresh, and not too oily. The restaurant has nice decor, feels comfortable and service has become a lot better. My favourite is the appetiser chaat paapri- an interesting presentation of the dish. I usually order chicken tikka masala which I love too. I have tried a few different dishes and like the fresh, clean taste, not overspiced or floating in oil. Naan is thin and not too heavy. You can see the kitchen through the glass window which is neat, you know where your food is coming from.Great place which we have been going to almost every couple of weeks.

The place itself is somewhat ordinary, without much of an Indian 'feel'. However the food was excellent. We enjoyed the lamb rogan josh, a chicken curry, muttar pulao and garlic naan bread. Everything was cooked to perfection. Service was pleasant and efficient. Prices we very reasonable. A very nice 'go-to' local restaurant.

We would never have found this place or gone to it if my (local) family had not recommended it. It is hidden away and does not look too promising from outside.Once you get inside, the décor is simple and plain, plates and cutlery are cheap and it is a buffet.Don't be put off. The food is OUTSTANDING. It is just like home cooked Indian food (and I am Indian so I know). Loads of choice, each dish tastes absolutely different from each other. Great selection. It's a shame I don't eat much as I could easily have stayed longer and gorged myself.Table service (which only involved getting us drinks and clearing away plates) was efficient and pleasant. The price was ridiculously cheap for such quality and potential quantity. My mother commented (to me) that there was no fresh pineapple, which is her favourite fruit. next thing we know, one of the chefs had brought her some freshly cut pineapple out of the kitchen specially for her. Great service with a smile.Highly recommended.

Modern Indian restaurant located on Highway 7 in Richmond Hill. We offer a wide variety of traditional Indian dishes. Enjoy your meal in our upscale dining hall while watching your food being prepared in our open kitchen.
The recommendation of our server was the grill platter and a curry each. The grill platter was incredible, the butter chicken savoury and delicious, the the vindaloo was excellent. Decent service, would have appreciated a better seat in the otherwise empty restaurant.

Came here during the Victoria Day long weekend for their lunch buffet. Wow!! Talk about a feast. The weekend lunch buffet is wonderful! And all-you-can-eat for $20. Can't beat this. Taste is excellent. Naan is very nice. That's important. The butter chicken is fantastic. And the tandoori chicken is succulent: moist and tender. Well worth the price and the place was packed! I'm not surprised...

Came here the second time this summer. We were initially skeptical about the higher price compared to other places, but the overall review from other posters justify the #1 rating in Unionville.Must try the Paneer Tikka, and various Naan (Garlic and Cheese). Mango lassi is also a must try.
