As a breakfast restaurant this place seems to be very popular. There's a wide selection of local breakfast cusine which I asked the helpful staff to talk me through. As a westernerI need to ease myself into the idea of spicy chicken and rice for breakfast. Breakfast like a king and dine like a peasant?I don't think that my western choices (not really that wide) warrented the cost so opted for hitting the malls for wider options.

Off the beaten path,air-conditioned & inviting ambience. Halal, no beef cuisine. Come enjoy specially prepared food with family & friends. Open noon - 3pm (lunch)& 6pm - 10.30pm (dinner)
we especially enjoyed the food at Village Briyani. The rice was especially fragrant and fluffy and of the Bhasmati long grain Variant. The Chettinad Chicken was just superb as with the aloo gobi with cauliflower. Service was quite fast. Certainly worth returning again.

This was our first visit. It was very quiet at lunchtime. In fact the whole area was quiet. We also enjoyed the music they were playing. The food was excellent. Slight disappointment in that they did not have any naans. They start cooking these about 3pm. Wine was available but only the house variety. I ordered a white wine but a red turned up. I decided to go with this and enjoyed it. This did not spoil our enjoyment at all. The staff were helpful and friendly. We will certainly go there again.

Well... an update on my previous review.. Mr Navee from the restaurant had called me after seeing this review and even spoke to me when I went there for my friend's function. He seemed to be really kind and apologetic. Claimed that he has spoken with the management and they really wanted to provide a free lunch/dinner for my family. I said I accepted his apology, but he insisted that they had to give me the free meal to compensate for our treatment there. So I promised to take them up on the offer once I could get my family together.Fast forward to the end of July. And I messaged the mobile number given by Mr Navee if it was convenient to bring my family for dinner there that weekend. A lady called me back from that number and said that we can come and that she was aware of the arrangement. That Mr Navee was on leave (I did offer to reschedule to when Mr Navee comes back). She seemed in a rush to complete the call so I messaged to reconfirmed that it'll be a complementary meal. She said she'll speak to the directors. She then called back and said that they can only offer free buffet lunch if we wanted a free meal. As if we were begging for a free meal!I immediately cancelled the reservation! The most horrible experience with a fine dining establishment I've ever had!Good Afternoon, Extremely Sorry For This Late Reply.Thank You For Your Understanding & Your Review, Would like to contact your for further discussion on this as i need a clearer picture on what exactly took place. My Name Is Seelan & I'm the owner of this indian fine dining restaurant.I would apologies to your goodself for such experience. We are one of its kind modernist Indian Cuisine located at Johor Bahru, Malaysia under the wings of Holiday Villa Hotel. Come indulge in the taste of spices.
We visited the restaurant in the late afternoon so it was not crowded. The staff attended to us fairly quickly. The briyani was average but the other dishes were good. The buttermilk is a winner! I would say the prices are expensive as they are centrally located in JB.

We are regular customers at Olive at puteri harbour, and they have never let us down. The food is great and served hot everytime. The spice level of food can be adjusted as per your liking. The portion size is very good and the setting is very nice. All of the staff are very polite and courteous. All in all a great place to have food and drinks.

My colleagues and I had previously had our dinner there and we decided to go again because we were reminded of how tasty the fish masala was especially coming from me who always avoid ordering fish except at fresh seafood restaurants. The paratha was to my liking too. So were the different types of naan... we had plain, cheese and garlic naan and they were all good. Generally, the food were good. We enjoyed our dinner. The tea masala though, could have been better. I've had better ones somewhere else. it was our great pleasure to serve you and we are looking forward to your return visit to our Restaurant. We would certainly appreciate any feedbacks or suggestion you can offer on the services and cuisine , as we continue to strive to offer the best possible experiences to all of our guest thank you for your valuable feedback.

Second dinner here and I put myself in the hands of my awesome waiter.... and he scored spot on!!Tandoori prawns and a beautifully creamy lamb curry. The contrast of flavours was fantastic and both dishes had been prepared perfectly.A table on the balcony overlooking the harbour was just a perfect way to spend the evening. The menu here is huge with a massive selection of both Indian and western dishes.... pretty much anything you might want! Will definitely be back again and would unreservedly recommend this restaurant!(The pic is a 350g King prawn from my first visit)
