We visited for the first time on New Years Eve after reading good reviews but we were very disappointed.The service was extremely slow; half an hour before we were able to order and over an hour between starters being taken away and mains being served. We had a good view of the bar and area where the takeaways were dealt with and we felt that more emphasis was put into this side of the business and not the seated customers.The staff werenât friendly, approachable or indeed helpful. We weâre originally seated in the newish extension area between a draughty fire door and the toilets and therefore we did ask to be moved and were happy with the new table, although we were a good distance from the toilets, we kept getting a pine smell which was the toilet cleaning agent.....not very nice!Overall, although the food was very nice, due to the poor service I doubt that we will be going back.

Too many times we have visited Indian restaurants with the pomp and ceremony only to be let down on taste. Agreed not the most romantic or high end decorated Indian locally but thete has been a.small uplift in the interior and with the crockery.Popadoms all fresh and crisp..starters excellent and all mains inc sides rices and nan breads were really excellent. Good value no nonsense place where you feel.able to get sown to good old family values of a good natter over quality resonably priced food. Staff have the right level.of attention as not to get in your way but make sure you have everything you need. One.small recommendation .. Ask the chef to keep a.mindful eye on the amount of ghee is uses in dishes..apart from that.. A converted new.customer

When to The Green Rooms Saturday 13th January,it's very nice place ,warm welcoming,people working there are very pleasant,we had food which was well presented and very well cooked ,I would certainly recommend it to people looking for a venue,spacious they can even find you a DJ if you want just facing you is a Car Park which is Free after 3pm and free on Sunday's

The leeja has a new chef..... The food used to be beautiful. Sadly not anymore, lamb balti was awful, meat was over cooked and chewy. My partners curry was over seasoned with salt and was awful.Lovely staff but please bring back your old chef sadly you have lost our custom

We visit Balti Raj frequently as a couple and at least once a month as a family , this consists of adults and children and would definitely say the restaurant is family friendly , they make the kids feel welcome every time and this in turn makes the experience even more enjoyable for the adults.The service is outstanding , the staff are friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble.In my opinion the food is the best around it is traditional, authentic and always served hot (heat not spice level). In our family we all have different likes and dislikes and Salman and his team are happy to accommodate this they will add items, removed things we donât like etc, they also make recommendations to ensure we get the best meal possible.Overall itâs a lovely place with a great authentic feel, and we will definitely keep returning.

Another set of takeaways from here and not a single thing to complain about. Hot, fresh curry, cooked exactly to order and always ready on time. We really enjoy the food from here and have started trying out new dishes recently, with us yet to be disappointed!

Attended the Sunday evening buffet recently and was thoroughly impressed by the wide selection of starters, mains and desserts.Venue was busy and rightly so when the buffet is priced at less than ten pounds per person.Staff friendly and obliging and venue clean and inviting.An excellent alternative to the traditional Sunday roast at a competitive price :)

Took my mother in law here for a birthday treat and we were not disappointed.Staff we very friendly, helpful and courteous and made the whole experience even more special.Food was stunning so unique and very tasty and made to the highest standard.
